Here's a fun little story telling about what wins in the NBA -Continuity+Health.
Golden State was not some Almighty Most High team, but they seemed that way bc they had a lightning in a bottle health season. IF Pels stay healthy, then we in this B

Worst training staff in ALL of basketball

Bad results for a long time yes, but people that say this don't even know who the training staff is, and most that have posted in the past seem to be unaware of the fact that this past season we had a brand new head trainer.
I'm not saying our staff is good, I'm saying none of us have a clue and replacing the staff may not be the way to solve our problems. Between stuff Payton has said about the Saints and some of the things Gentry was involved with in GS, and Monty's general reluctance to do things in new fangled ways, I'm hoping the team starts employing some of the advanced tech and analytics for monitoring players and preventing injury. Probably the best way to put Jrue's $3 million injury settlement to use.

There are some teams that have invested extremely heavily in Sports Science staffs, that have a much larger presence on campus. From what I understand, we aren't one of those teams yet.

There's nothing wrong with start you're saying about continuity.
But the Warriors comparison is problematic. They were a top 5 defense and a mid pack (w/ Steph freaking Curry) offense 2 years ago. They had back to back 50 win seasons, including a trip to the 2nd round where they scared the Spurs. Before this season, their long-time starting pf went down and was replaced by a 3rd year 2nd rd pick, who became a DPOY candidate, was a perfect fit for the team, and helped transform them into a juggernaut.
They had remarkable injury luck w/ Curry and Bogut (but not Lee) and they did run things back. But sharps like Zach Lowe thought they were dark horse title winners 2 seasons ago. They didn't come out of nowhere. They were a very good team before having an all time season.
The Pels are trending up, and I believe coaching will help, but they are still a couple of years (and some good luck- like all title teams get) from being title contenders.

Not to mention...this isn't the roster that will lead us to a championship.its a good start though.
Yes, there's something to be said for continuity. It will be a good thing.
But we just made the playoffs as the 8th seed by winning the last game of the season. And we got swept. And our playoff roster had most hands on deck.
There is going to need to be some roster upgrades at some point to get to the next level. Obviously, they've decided it won't be this year. But I expect next year to be very interesting.
We have a tough task this year. We need to do two things: 1) win games and look good doing it, so that players take notice and we start to trend towards a "contending" team.
And 2) keep the roster flexible enough and acquire or maintain assets, so that we can trade for or be able to sign a star. We need a 2nd banana.

actually, the organization has finally completely full migration with the Saints and now they share many of the same medical staff. The Saints have one of the best groups out there, so we should see some definite improvement.

Still need better players to exceed ambitions of fighting for the 8th place playoff spot.

Or just a healthy Jrue and Ryno with a full season of Cole, QPon and Cunningham. Maybe win 10 more games.

Unfortunately, we're banking on real health trends to just go away. Even then, it's going to be a tough go at it this season.

Lol if you expect no more moves. If you know Dell from his past he never just sit still with no moves. I can promise some one will be traded either Gordon or Ryan, they are the most expendable. Jrue isn't trustworthy enough to stay healthy for us to trade Tyreke.

So Gentry was Dell's man all along after he interviewed the first time.
Gentry comes in and says what a good roster this is. He hyperbolizes that the Golden State series was closer than it and could have turned on a few plays here and there.
We move to FA, and all of Dell's players are re-signed.
That gives me pause. This is a pretty good, but certainly not championship, roster.
I'd like to see some movement of a significant player. It's no time for an insider-fest.

It shouldn't. Our moves were limited by previous moves unless you wanted to trade assets for a loss. Although I ended up firmly on the JVG bandwagon, I wasn't at first because he seemed to not like our roster and changing the roster much in one offseason would be costly. The SF prices probably lead them to choose Ajinca over whatever the MLE could get them limiting the ability to change even more.
