The concept of tenure if ridiculous and has no place in any job/career field. If you or your work product is sub-standard, or you violate policy and/or law, then you get shown the door, no matter who you are or how long you've been with the organization.

I've never understood it either. Especially in a hire at will fire at will state. It spurs so many lawsuits too.

The whole concept is dumb. You want job security? Here's how you get it. Perform. Don't bring a bunch of bullshite to work. Do your job. Do it well even. Outperform your peers. Show the organization that you are valuable. Earn your pay.

Do that and you won't need "tenure."

People that bring their personal lives to work are just dumb as frick .. Grow up and learn to compartmentalize and separate ... Everyone has a personal life and everyone has problems in their personal lives .. they don't give a frick what is going on in yours .. they just want you to do your job and not dump it on them ..

Blaming going through her divorce on her actions is lame ..

you think with her being an elementary education professor he'd be able to read and stuff but nah

ETA: the ex-husband in question is a raging no-neck douchebag... might as well take the whole fam down a peg

Sexuality lessons in a class for elementary teachers. I can see that there may be occasions to have these, but on a basis, and crudeness, to where students complain?

Why does it have to be sexual harassment? Her classroom behavior was bad enough on its own.

This is a classic reaction to throw the dogs off the scent. "Witch hunt" is usually closely followed by "vendetta". It really means that she's defenseless and humiliated and has no other recourse than to try and shift the attention onto her accusers. Not very original.

You have to be a real bitch to get fired from a professorship because being a run of the mill bitch is a job requirement.

"Acquisition after acquisition". She's an M&A girl? For real? Those 4-cylinder words are tricky.

It's a sad day when people who cannot speak the English language make their way into public office.

People are too sensitive these days. She is teaching adults and using adult language- big deal. Unprofessional? perhaps, but not an offense serious enough to fire a tenured associate professor.
Imagine if this standard were applied to drill instructors in the Army. A rhetorical question, but what is really the difference?

BTW, anyone else notice she hasn't taught a class since 2013 and yet has $0 in savings to hire an attorney to fight this. Seems like you might start putting away some reserve cash when you see this coming at you.

This. It took 18 months to fire her.

You honestly can't see the difference in salty language in the military and a public college?
