Maybe I'm the odd man out, but I always have my insurance swapped out BEFORE I drive off of the lot

Would Insurance even approve a claim for this?

Small trout here too. Just got in. Tried elmers, kayak launch and grand isle state park. Wonder where the keepers went.

Possibly....if he had flood coverage
I assume they would. I drove my truck into a tree while mud riding one night and they paid for it. Had to go on a flatbed to the shop.
Funny thing about that was there was some weird kid tripping on acid in my passenger seat when it happened. He smashed his head into the windshield, and then was knocked out. There was hair on the outside of my windshield he hit so hard. I just broke my nose, but this guy was bleeding everywhere. Tried to wake him up, but he was way out of it, so I opened the door and pushed him out with my foot. The fricking guy just took off running and I never saw him again.....until Carlotta 3 years later. He was tripping again and had a huge scar on his forehead. I talked to him, and he had zero idea how it happened.
Let that be a lesson. Don't take LSD and get in a truck to do donuts with a drunk guy.

I just don't think I would be out there risking my truck in the salt water to help that dumbass.

3 keeper trout, one red, one white trout. I'm grabbing a Joe Bob burger then going see some family on elmers. Will report on truck status shortly.
ETA my aunt saw it happen yesterday. He was doing donuts and kept going in the water and that's the result. Back of the truck is on a sandbar, front of the truck is in a trough between the sandbar and beach.

If it's still there we might have to make a ride to see the excitement
Posted on 6/27/15 at 1:56 pm to civiltiger07
and we wonder why the landowners at Fourchon don't want the public on the beach...

Live update: they're hooking a Ranger to it. Failure pending. Will video in landscape shortly.

So a F250, a 2500, and a 3500 with combined probably 1000hp, 2000lb-ft torque, and weighing in at 20k couldn't get it and a Ranger comes to try?
Now I understand the kind of brainpower that got this baw stuck

The front drivers side tire is probably completely buried in the sand. Only way they are getting that thing out is to dig it out. The suction on that tire is like a death grip

didn't the first post say there was an excavator in route?...
Posted on 6/27/15 at 2:38 pm to farad
It said last night there was. Maybe they called it off or something
Posted on 6/27/15 at 2:39 pm to Hammertime
The ranger didn't even make an effort and unhooked. I believe they're trying to get it running but that's no use. Water was at the hood at high tide this morning.
