Your usual quality of comment.
We are talking about a woman being kidnapped and raped.
If this is an attempt at irony or humor, you are neither ironic nor humorous.
You are, well, you.

Who's denying what?
Yes, we have some thug piece of shite cockroaches living among us. There is a lot of crime.
And the OP should know that 9.5 million people decided to visit this horrible city last year and the city is booming right now in many great ways.
We probably will not figure out how to fix the crime problem in the correct way, but instead might just end up pricing all of the scum out of the city if the real estate market keeps going the way it has.

There is a "gentrification" meeting at Tulane tonight, great insights from our "leaders".

It's changed a great deal over the last 10 years and is getting much better. Seen the investments and growth lately?

Well, what are YOU doing about it?

I've never known a single person from New Orleans who hasn't cared deeply about the social and political issues there.

There are many more shootings and killings that are going on daily in BR, NO and other places that aren't being publicly documented to keep the public from panicking.
They only cover up muggings of SEAL snipers at gas stations, not gang members.

LOL you think the ones committing the crimes actually pay for their housing?

The "you're safe if you stay out of the bad areas" company line is becoming less and less true.

Everyone in the thread needs to keep their triggers to a minimum... Because I'm about to lose it.

Then they need to quit denying that something is very wrong. This isn't localized to terrible areas anymore.

The housing projects which I'm sure you are thinking of really aren't a huge deal as much anymore.
I'm sure a great deal of the piece of shits are in section 8 housing of some kind though. And believe me, people are selling a lot of those properties in many of the up and coming N.O. hoods because the real estate values are just nuts.

Since DeBlassio took over, things in New York have started to deteriorate again. But Times Square is a perfect example of what law enforcement and zero tolerance for the scumbags and their scumbag economy can do. Landrieu should just surrender the city charter and put the NOPD under the State Police and form a temporary Metropolitan Police Force under the Governor, this could negate the consent agreement and allow more active and robust policing. Crime in New Orleans is spilling into Jefferson and those guys should be allowed unfettered access to the ghetto.
Yeah I want to see heads cracked.

I'm sure the apologists will be here to say these things happen in all big cities, but the reality is the city is falling into a state of anarchy. If we were a foreign city the State Department would have issued a travel warning already.
Tad bit dramatic now aren't we. Nawlins has always been like this calm down.
Posted on 5/27/15 at 10:06 pm to notiger1997
They were throwing up section 8 apartments all over the place last I'd been through. They don't do housing projects anymore. They subsidize private parties to build the shite for them.

Always as in the past thirty years, but moving to the suburbs doesn't work anymore. I guess we just say everything is fine because it has always been like this.

There was also a fight with sticks and bats in central city.
