If Les would go back and compare Jennings stats with Harris stats in 2014 the conflict would be over.

Les needs to get on the computer and type Anthony Jennings stats. Right there should be a red flag... He threw for 1611 (mostly big plays in each game 92, 80, 42, 41x2, 40...) yards and 48.9% Completion (don't forget the 22 sacks). Did he have a rushing game? At least Jefferson could run. Also, one last stat 11 Touchdowns and 7 Ints.

So, now go back and look at Brandon Harris's stats and compare to Jennings. Let’s not forget he's a True Freshman. He threw for 452 and 55.6% completion rate (played in only 5 games and most were after halftime). Clearly the argument is that he was competing vs. worse competition. Not many players can say they stepped on the field as a true freshman in the SEC. This shows me that he has the talent to compete and he needs to show Les that he's the right guy for the job sooner rather than later (learn the playbook, study film, improve technique, and improve check downs...). Also, this guy can run and I think it's time to let him loose.

This year can be very special with all the talent we have on the offensive side of the ball. Whatever Qb starts Jennings or Harris; let them loose. We can't keep running the ball first and second down to compete in the SEC (teams stack the box). It's time to let it fly and see how special these receivers really are. This will open up holes for Buga to take home the Heisman. Can't wait for the football season to start.

There have been too many reports of this to be just a myth.

Why not link ink all those "many reports" you speak of? How about just one. I haven't read one credible report claiming Harris was not working hard, doesn't know the playbook or any of that other nonsense fans make up when they have no factual information. Now you are making up these "many reports" for a lack of knowledge on the subject.

He also doesn't have a clue where to go with the ball prior to the ball being snapped. He can't line up, look at the defense and say to himself, I have to throw to z receiver because the safety is giving help to y wr.

And how do you know this? Are you a mind reader?

he can't read a corner blitz or lb blitz for that matter and check into a different blocking scheme to make a successful play.

You mean like Mett was his first year starting and part of his second?

The Oracle has spoken
All dedicate fans are waiting for every tidbit of information from Miles. We could spend the rest of the off season in understanding the Oracle.

Miles praises everyone on the team, really. I can't recall him ever saying a player's name followed with criticism. Even last year he just referred to Jennings as "the QB position" and whatnot.

It doesn't matter how good he is if we can't get him the ball.

We are literally a serviceable QB away from a championship. Please make this happen.

FIFY. We don't need a guy that throws for 400ypg. We need a guy that can complete passes and make defenses think twice about loading the box. Period. Dont care if thats Jennings or Harris.

Most people could recognize that one QB has the talent to compete and make plays at this level and one doesn't. The people who see that would have taken their lumps with Harris last year and the future would look good for this year. Miles saw one QB that played his type of ball (conservative) and one QB who was a gun slinger (risk taker). When Miles finally molds Harris into his style of ball Harris will look similar to Lee (uncomfortable). My only question is why do they keep recruiting QB's with these traits? one more thing Jennings will start. Harris is still way to confident in his natural abilities, the play book has nothing to do with it.

Right sentiment; wrong game. Miss State graduated almost everyone. They were a senior-laden team last year. They are going to suck, and we can beat them with last year's team.

If we go into the Miss St game with this two-Qb nonsense we are killing Jennings & Harris development for the future. Furthermore, it will be another season of "what-ifs" and that will have LSU with 3-5 loses.

That's because not everyone who reports on sports goes out and writes an article.

The overall message from the radio guys has consistently been that this is what they are hearing from "the building." If you don't believe them, then that's your choice (whether it is grounded in reason or not).

Ponamsky and Culotta have repeatedly reported that Harris showed a lack of work ethic during last season - and that message came from within LSU Football.

For all we know he has stepped it up. Even if Harris earns or has earned the starting job, we won't find out until week 2.

Les wants to keep it open until the State game so they have to prepare for both. For that reason, don't expect him to declare a starter any time before then.

Pick a QB and say this is the guy and everyone support him and he is the guy thick and thin and then let him have it!! He is going to end up like DiNardo and the Interim Coach had to get Rohan off the Bench!!

Is it Dinardo's fault Saban started Booty over Davey until he lost to UAB?

Until one of the guys shows he can hit better than 55% of his attempts vs. SEC teams, the staff would have to be nuts to "let them loose" with the power running game we should have this yr.

I was at the AU game. He didn't have a clue where to go with the ball. He like to killed his boy Quinn and Quinn was never the same as a result. How many completion did he have in that game?

You mean like Mett was his first year starting and part of his second?

yes, and met was no star his first year either.

geeze, I want harris to get it and start. you people are something. I'm objective enough to see he has A LOT to learn at this point. I never said he can't be good or wont be good, he's just not ready at this point. why is this so hard to accept?

If he studies the other team and his playbook as much as he politics, we will be fine.
