Well, capitalism was about to do its thing in '08 but the democrats had to pay back their lobbyist so now car prices will not adjust to the economy. Thanks dems.

Dude if you're going to let your fear of rapings and kidnappings determine what you do and don't do, then prepare to never:

-get an uber
-go to a sporting function
-eat at a restaurant
-be in a family with Liam Neeson

I haven't seen him do it like Wise has been, but it's got to be a troll.

Uber is so much easier to deal with than taxis, it's laughable.

This is why I buy expensive cars and drive it all day. I make 15%.

I will always have my own car. No way would I want to be reliant on others to get around. I will also always live in a neighborhood in a house.

Self-driving cars will eventually be a thing, but it will be over 100 years before it is anything like Minority Report.

They may sit idle 95% of the time, but if I had to walk the 20k miles I drive every year I would be an unemployed guy with bad knees.

The 95% number doesn't matter so much when you consider the number of cars needed at the same exact time each day.

"Outrage over Uber’s surge pricing grows as new app hopes to help"

""I was charged $230 for a 17 mile ride in Austin, Texas on Halloween. I am beyond outraged," one of several upset customers lashed out in an email to the Daily News."

They do warn you about 4-5 times about surge pricing before you are able to even accept the ride.

When you are at the bar hoping to score with Sally Jane Rottencrotch and her friends and then inform them you don't even own a car and rely on services like uber--enjoy the fap.

...hotties like success and security, not some pinhead who needs to use an app every time he needs to be mobile.

I think driver-less cars and companies such as Uber and Lyft will change the face of the automotive industry for ever, especially in the urban areas, in the next decade.

Cars have mileage and use limitations on them and drive their value. There isn't much difference in value between a 2014 with 75k miles on it right now and a 2014 with 75k miles on it in 2017.

Auto driving cars are the future. People will not own them, they'll use an app to schedule their arrivals.

They will be more prevalent in urban areas but it still doesn't change the fact that the demand for car use peaks wildly during commuting hours.

Hard to predict what "commuting hours" may look like in a world with automated driving vehicles.

The argument can be made that the "40 hour work week" (who does that anyways) is becoming obsolete pretty rapidly.

So many jobs with people putting their butts in seats at offices that really don't need to be there, less hours to get the job done, telecommuting, automation, etc.
