Sriracha chili vs Mcilhenny tabasco, who wins this battle?

I personally prefer Sriracha. Better texture, a bit more versatile. Mcilhenny is perfect on Oysters though.

Texture of a hot sauce, really?
Dear God man.

Crystal lends more smoothness to the refined palate, IMO.

Sriracha for cooking and most of my needs.
Cholulah is one of my favorites, especially for breakfast burritos.

And really doesn't differ much from Frank's or a plethora of other hot sauces on the market.
As for the OP, they have different raisons d'etre IMO.

they're not even comparable

Who has just one hot sauce? No self respecting Louisianian. Crystal, Louisiana, Tabasco, sriracha, pepper vinegar....I likes 'em all, on various things.

True this. But if I had to have just one...
Definitely Tabasco for me.

I would agree with this. Tabasco is my go-to, but I would hate to have to limit myself to just one.

I dont think theyre comparable. Once is heavily vinegar based and more of a liquid and the other is not nearly as vinegar based and is more of a paste texture. They are both great. I like Sriracha on eggs and in asian dishes and tabasco/crystal/louisana for gumbo and rice and gravy dishes.

Not a fan of spinach. Prefer Tabasco or crystal

Well, they have completely different textures. They are not the same thing so it's a valid point to bring up when discussing which one is preferable because hot sauce is hot sauce so it has to be compared to the few things that are comparable, one of which is texture.

The Chipotle Tabasco is one of my most used sauces.
I eat a lot of Sriracha, but prefer Sambal Oelek.
I think that El Yucateco Kutbil-Ik is probably my favorite all around sauce.

I wouldn't say they are even comparable.

It depends on what I'm using the sauce for. I like them equally.

For real. They're two completely different things

Have all of the ones listed above plus a lot more. Must be the way I look or something, but I receive a lot of hot sauces as gifts.
I do different sauces for different foods. I can't eat a rotisserie lemon-pepper chicken from Walmart without Sriracha. Red beans and rice need some Louisiana hot sauce. Chile gets the pepper vinegar, etc, etc.
