WTF is going on with all these earthquakes

I am getting an uneasy feeling about this and I am the freaking Nostradamus on steroids when it comes to people dying and bad shite happening. (I dream you die, 100% chance so far of you dying with 30 days.)
Somebody, maybe a geologist or someone familiar with all this please provide some rational explanation for what is going on and why it is no big deal.

Well it has already been written and I paraphrase: That's great, it's starts with an earthquake ( there's something about birds snakes, airplanes, Lenny Bruce, eyes of hurricanes, and other garbled words) but the takeaway is "it's the end of the world as we know it and I feel fine"
