Welcome back to the Central Time Zone. Giddy up
Feldman vs Paxton
M's you're standing on the tracks and the train's coming through.
ETA: Deduno will start tomorrow as a place holder for Oberholtzer

We got such a steal getting him for the cancerous POS doucheboy gambling addict also known as Jarred Cosart.

I would donate a kidney to Jake Marisnick

Welcome back to CST, of course, when I roll back to nights.
We casually talk about strikeouts, but I'm starting to wonder about the correlation between strikeouts and regular put outs. Are strikeouts more productive as in bringing the pitchers count up higher considering the fact most pitchers are on strict pitch counts?

You may be onto something but I don't know if bullpens are what they used to be where guys who weren't quite good enough were bullpen arms. There's some legit pens out there

The Astros are 14 - 7.
It took the Astros 41 games to get to 14 wins last year, when their record was 14 - 27 on May 14!! They were 11 games out of first place by the time they won their 14th game last year.

Well you have to be able to classify different kinds of strikeouts.
There's a big difference as it relates to pitch counts between a 3 pitch hackfest and a 10 pitch at bat with multiple foul tips that eventually result in strikeouts.
Until you can classify the types of strikeouts, I don't think its directly correlative to high pitch counts

Be thankful the Rangers took it up the poop chute from King Felix Hernandez and you don't have to face him this series.
Of course at this point the Rangers would take it up the poop chute from Felix Unger (or even Felix the Cat).

Mariners should be thankful they don't have to face Keuchel

Must win tonight. Deduno doesn't inspire too much confidence, but you never know with this team.

I just saw a tweet that 4 players in the AL have 8 steals, 3 are Astros

I will admit I did not see that coming but I'm happy to be wrong. I love the way he is playing the game right now. Its awesome to have a guy like that at the bottom of the lineup who can ignite rallies and light up the bases. I'm really amazed at the number of extra base hits he has been racking up.

Babe Ruth, Lou Gherig, Mickey Mantle, Ty Cobb, and Ted Williams all railed the same chick.
And the product resulting from that gangbang was Jake Marisnick

+1. You could go back to the off season thread and I was vocal about my non belief in Marisnick. I believe I called him just another toolsy outfielder in the mold of Grossman and Hoes. Its only 1 month out of 6 but he's off to a great start and I'm glad to have been wrong about him.

Paxton has struggled for the M's in his last couple starts, need to jump on him early

Prediction: Springer breaks out with the bat in this series.
