Please be televised.

Also, it has to be costing Baltimore a lot of lost revenue to lose a weekend series like that. Those restaurant owners around the stadium have to be pissed.

Every game is televised. It just depends on whether or not you have MLB extra innings.

Game should be moved to Wrigley and only televised from Kris Bryant's perspective watching in the stands.

What's being lost in all of this, is that orioles fans in Baltimore who want to watch the game through mlbtv won't because of blackouts. major league baseball

Do local business owners have any legal rights to use for loss of business?

why can't they just watch it on the local channel? buying mlb.tv to watch your hometown team is idiotic anyways.

I doubt it.
I don't think a business is entitled to a certain level of business from another entity.

When I was a kid I read the classic Ultimate Baseball Book and it said in 1934 the St Louis Browns -- now, interestingly enough, the Orioles -- once played a game before a crowd of 34 people.

MLB doesn't have blackouts.

Why would they watch it on mlbtv when they can just watch it on regular tv?

Wasn't there a PGA event a few years ago that had club members' only watching? I remember Tiger Woods playing in it, but forget why the course/PGA did that?

Are they still going to have a PA announcer/walk up songs/music between pitches/music between innings?

These are crucial elements to the game.

It happens quite a bit in European soccer matches--but only when a team is being punished for having fans chant racist slogans or hooliganism.

I think there may have been 1-2 HS games where the stands were closed--but due to fan fights in the stands.

Not in MLB. Why are the Orioles and White Sox being punished for this?
