Probably 1% of the population, all ugly feminists, were offended. The other 99% could not care less. I would venture to guess more people were pissed off these guys were "forced" to apologize then were upset about the original comment.

I agree that getting fake offended is a really annoying part of contemporary American culture.
However, isn't getting fake offended at people who are fake offended also annoying?
Hence, a website like Jezebel posts a "scandalous" story meant to make people angry, and get them to say things like, "ugh, Americans are so [insert form of prejudice regarding strong oppressing the weak]."
Then, a website like The Blaze posts a "scandalous" story meant to make people angry at people who got angry, and get them to say things like "ugh, everyone is such a [insert some form of disgust at the weak oppressing the strong, funny, rich, etc.]
Why not just ignore the whole thing as being utterly beneath anyone with sense?
