What will be awesome: Star Wars, BvS, Spectre

What will be ok: Hunger Games, Mad Max

What I'm afraid will suck: Jurassic World, Avengers

Surprise:
Star Wars - I actually think it will be really, really good. Not just a great Star Wars Movie
Mad Max - This too

Not Suck:
Dawn of Justice - I think it follows the MoS template
Spectre
Age of Ultron

Suck:
Jurassic World - But I'm still hopeful. It looks like an adventure film
Hunger Games - That series is getting out of control
Terminator

One thing you don't have on the list is Terminator. I think it will be a fun surprise.

I think this is going to be really good. Borderline great.
quote:

spectre
I don't have a lot of care to see it.
quote:

jurassic world
Kind of put this in the Terminator category. I'm expecting a fun blast from the past.

hunger games
quote:

dawn of justice
I really don't know for sure. I like 90% of what I've seen. They really seem to be nailing Batman. That alone may make it a success.
quote:

the avengers: age of ultron
I'm expecting something entertaining, but I think it will fall short of the first Avengers and Cap 2.
quote:

mad max: fury road
I have no fricking clue. The trailers look like a crazy ride. I'm not overly excited to see it. It may surprise me.

should be decent, better than 1-3.

spectre

is going to be about level for recent james bond films. fun ride but not mind blowing.

jurassic world
hunger games

its going to suck.

the avengers: age of ultron

My SIL works for marvel and she says its going to be the best MCU movie to date. She saw it last week and walked the red carpet.

She is just a show runner for marvel animated but apparently gets to walk the red carpet.

I have a lot of faith on Spectre based on how great Skyfall was. Star Wars makes me nervous though. Really don't care too much about the rest.

At this point, anything other than a phenomenal film will be a disappointment, so I wouldn't be surprised if it's a good film that falls a little short of expectations. I just hope I'm wrong and it meets or exceeds already sky-high anticipation.

quote:

spectre

Won't suck, won't be great, right in the middle.

quote:

jurassic world

Will be a fun action flick, but ultimately be a little preachy and cheesy.

hunger games

meh

dawn of justice

Will flop massively.

quote:

the avengers: age of ultron

Will succeed massively.

mad max: fury road

I've never seen any Mad Max movies start to finish, so this is one where I might end up enjoying far more than fans of the originals. I had never seen any Star Trek before the JJ Abrams versions, and I enjoyed them a lot, so probably a similar situation.

Terminator

The last half of that book was some of the worst print I've ever read. Its like the author got there and was like "I'm out of ideas." I'm very interested to see if they can make it translate better onscreen.

dawn of justice will either be the best surprise or the biggest piece of shite.

spectre will disappoint. Jurassic world will be a bona fide turd

I don't know about these two. I liked Skyfall, I thought it was a very oldschool Bond movie. I'm interested to see what they do with this, also how many more movies are you really going to have Craig for?

Chris Pratt is in Jurassic World. I'll see it.

star wars - I expect it to be solid. 1-3 were such a disappointment that I think expectations won't be as high so it will be easy to exceed.

spectre - Garbage. Skyfall was crap and some of you are too easily amused. Plot was almost as bad as QOS and that seemed impossible to match.

jurassic world - Trained Raptors? Not optimistic, but lowered expectations could help it be a hit.

hunger games - Yawn. Don't hate the movies but don't love them either.

dawn of justice - Didn't realize that was the title for BVS. I am excited for this one. I think MOS set it up perfectly with the over the top destruction.

the avengers: age of ultron - Could suck and I would still probably like the cast interaction. I think it will be good.

mad max: fury road - Wildcard bitches! Not sure what to think here. Not sure lightning can strike twice for the Road Warrior.

This is getting as bad as F&F, Transformers - just meh. That one where they're looking for the kid? Laugh out loud silly premise.

Some potential there. We'll see.

I've wavered on this one. I'm going to give a shot.
