Would you rather them not add it and the course close potentially? I'm all for whatever helps keep courses open.

Just stay out of my way... or you'll pay. Listen, to what I say.

It's the only play either course will get anyways

As a golfer.. I think it's awesome.. I've played one round of footgolf and it was fun.. Eventhough I believe they should repurpose city park, this could actually provide some much needed revenue and will allow something cool to do with my kids.

I'm ok with it as long as they repair their divots and ball marks

What happens if you kick it in the pond? What happens on hole 5 at city park? People are just going to send 120 yard bomb kicks over the water?
Is it proper protocol to punt a ball after missing a 5 foot kick-putt instead of throwing your putter? Or just break your own leg?

As long as they keep it at those courses I'm fine with it. If it creeps over to Santa Maria, thats when shiz hits the fan

If Baton Rouge wants to really progress as a city, they need to eliminate the golf course at City Park and create a centrally located all-purpose community park for the city and all its denizens. Golf is dying, and yet the primo location that is City Park is used for 9 holes that are unnecessary in a city that owns so many other courses.

Is that big arse hole in the ground going to be considered a golfing water hazard once it fills with water?

I'm not against letting people try new things and giving people opportunities for recreation.
BUT, I swear, BREC is the king of adding stupid shite to its parks and does the bare minimum at providing recreational sports leagues for kids in the city.
If BREC is so concerned about people not using their facilities, then why aren't they offering more programming for their facilities?
They just add things, leave it, then wonder why no one uses it.

Is dressing like an a-hole a prerequisite to play foot golf?

quote:
Baton Rouge area can play footgolf alongside the regular golfers at BREC's City Park and J.S. Clark golf courses.
This seems like a disaster waiting to happen if both are playing at the same time.
