OT agronomists, is the Louisiana Delta amenable to growing high grade weed?

We own a few hundred acres over there that we lease out to a guy who grows soybeans. Not a big operation, but it's a nice little supplemental income. I'm just thinking ahead trying to get in front of the coming trend.

Have you even any experience in growing?

Of course you can.
Welcome to the Feds list of posters to track. Nicely done.

Them alligators is mean and they eat up all the seeds. You can go pick yourself a sack full of shrooms though.

If it happens and the regulations are anything like Washington State you will have to grow indoors to limit the environmental factors (bugs, fungus, etc.) that can affect the product.
I worked for a guy in Seattle that had an indoor facility and his first crop had some kind of fungus that made it not eligible for smoking so it had to be converted to oil. He still made some money but not the expected profit had it been smoke-able.
FTR I'm not an expert on marijuana nor did I have anything to do with the growth and production. I just helped get the facility built. It was not cheap. The lights alone cost several hundred thousand dollars and the HVAC system was also very pricey. You will need more than just dirt and a few good ole boys that can grow to pull it off successfully.

I've told you before that you will be better off growing indoors in LA.

If Phillip Morris hasn't made you an offer yet, your property/operation will not be needed in the marijuana economy.
