Redskins discussions w/ Bears, Rams, Vikings, Browns & Saints on trading down from 5th Overall. No talk w/ Eagles, pick very much available

Who would we target? Fowler?

Could be smoke too

IMO the only person that makes since for us to trade up for is Fowler. no way he drops to 6, we would need to move to 3 which would cost us too much.

I could see us trading down though. Maybe a scenario where Mariota falls and the Eagles make a a trade to move to 13 to draft him.

insert Michael scott no gif

IMO it would negate everything they've done this offseason in acquiring more picks

Sounds like the Redskins are trying to raise interest in the pick.

And Loomis has been all over this offseason. I don't think there is a player they haven't talked to, a pick they haven't talked about or a player they haven't considered trading. I don't see them moving up though, unless it's a sweetheart deal.

Fowler and Williams are the only two worth moving for. If they were there at 5 and Washington would accept the two firsts, I would likely consider it.

It would be interesting to see the Saints draft board. Personally I have a large gap between Fowler/Williams and Shelton, who I have ranked third.

Wash GM: Hey Mickey we are looking to move down from 5 to pick up additional picks, and 13 appears to be a good spot. Would you be interesting in moving up to 5.

ML: Sure, we'll give you 13 & 78.

Wash: That's not enough, we would need both 1st &...

ML: Nope, not interested

Wash media report: We were in talks with the Saints about moving up to 5.

See how easy it is.

This team has too many holes. The good news is we have some really nice draft picks and with the way college players appear to be more ready for the NFL game, we could easily come out this draft with 3 starters and a handful of solid role players.

If we trade up, I'm hoping it's not for much. A jump from 13 to 5 would take some considerable assets and this team needs the young players.

I think we will let the draft come to us at 13, with maybe a jump in front of a team to get the player we want. Nothing major but like a jump from 13 to 10 0r 11.

Now at pick 31, I fully expect a jump into the mid-20's to grab their guy. I really don't want to give up our 2nd rounder because that is another starter for this team.

definitely smoke. these rumors are dumb at this point in time considering they dont know who will be on the board.

Even Tom Brady had "down" years in regards to his statistical norms when his O-line was shady. Hell, look at the season Romo had with a good line. Brees would be a complete surgeon with 1/2 as good a line as either one of them had.

Now saints have 5 picks in top 3rd of draft if they pick right they could have 5 starters by next season. They are not one player away from being a deep playoff team.DO NOT Trade UP if anything trade down.

This is what's happening, rest assured:

Redskins: “Hmm, how can we artificially drive up demand for our first round pick? We know! Let’s name a bunch of teams that conceptually could move up to our spot—teams with multiple early-round picks in particular---and say that they’re ‘in play’ as a trade-up partner.”

Never hurts to just see what picks are going for in order to value what you have or are considering taking.

We need to be trading back not up. We have too many holes on this team to piss away all our draft picks for a huge gamble. At least with an abundance of picks the odds go up in finding a stud...we suck at drafting lately.

Hmmm. Trading up is almost always a shitty strategy.
