Watching this guy's pro day film is extremely impressive. He isn't the raw guy with a big arm or a system player like so many QBs who are picked high are. This guy has every tool in his bag and can make every throw, if he can develop some semblance of sanity he's going to be one of the elites.

His upside is Big Ben and his floor is a bust. I think he's talented but I don't trust his judgment. He played in a weak conference and benifited from playing under Jimbo, who is great with quarterbacks. Personally I think he busts.

I agree. Too many people are too fixated on his post-NCG interview and off-field issues. He's a hell of a lot smarter than most people realize, and has all the physical tools. He also never seems to let the game pressure get to him. He's gonna be a fricking stud if he puts in the work.

Wouldn't say he's gonna be a super star. But yea he's gonna be a good NFL QB. And I'm not a Winston fan at all either. But his abilty, talent, football IQ, and coming from an NFL system speaks for itself.

But I wouldn't say super star.

players with high football IQ's don't throw 18 INTS in 13 games against meh competition.

I think he'll be alright. Superstar, nah.

No he's not.

He's a complete moron and severely immature.

What superstar QBs have those qualities?

Also, he is extremely turnover prone in college, seems to have a frame that will add weight, has terrible mechanics, a sideways pinky finger, and has terrible eyesight. None of these alone are awful, but all 5 together have to be worrisome.

Did I say he's a complete fricking moron? He might be partially illiterate.

ETA:

Not to mention FSU QBs under Jimbo all are worse than scouts expected. He's like a college QB whisperer.

If you mean like Can Newton superstar I'll give you that possibility. However just like Cam he will never win a super bowl.

Probably will be successful short term until the good will wears off and the real comes out. I look for two good years followed by two so so, melt down and out of league by end of first contract.

I don't know, maybe. I mean he threw a lot of interceptions against bad defenses. The NFL DB's will eat him alive if doesn't improve a lot.

Ok so lets ignore the off the field issues for right now. He's going to go to a shitty team in 2015. By Christmas:
2015: the haters will be out en force announcing he will be a bust, meanwhile the Jamieus fanboys will proclaim "but he's on the Bucs/Jets/Falcons".
Christmas 2016: he might be okay, but chances are he will not have stellar numbers. Fanboys will stop defending him.
2017: will be the first year to see what he's really got.

If this comment is germans, sorry. But I seem to remember Johnny Football's pro day being "extremely impressive". And am guessing that the same broom that was chasing him around is the same broom chasing Winston. Wearing shors, t shirt, no pads, no defensive person chasing him around, no blitzing, no coverages to read. So, he looked impressive???? Not saying he won't be a star, but using his pro day performance as the main guide is ridiculous. LSU had a #1 draft pick whose pro day was "off the charts". J.Russell was a huge bust. Yesterday proved nothing.

The guy seems to have all the tools and know a lot about football. If he doesn't pull crab leg and F--k her in the p-ssy level stunts in the future he's a solid pick to be a great pro QB
