If you played a 1 man scramble at the Masters, would you still finish dead last?

In case you're not familiar with a 1 man scramble, basically you hit 2 shots each time and take the best. Would you still finish last? Would you make the cut? Would you be in the hunt??? (We will assume you were granted 2 practice rounds)
The worst 3 that missed the cut in the 2014 Masters
~Tom Watson...........78-81-159 CUT
~Michael McCoy(a)..78-83-161 CUT
~Ben Crenshaw.........83-85-168 CUT
The worst 3 that made the cut in the 2014 Masters
~49 Oliver Goss(a)...........+10 76-71-76-75-298
~50 Francesco Molinari...+11 71-76-76-76-299
~51 Larry Mize.................+16 74-72-79-79-304

Yes, but obviously I'm not a golfer.

That is a fun thought. I still do not think I would make it though, and I'm a 6 hcp.

Yes, by many many strokes. I'm a casual player who gets to the course maybe 5 or 6 times a year. You could give me 3 or 4 shots each time and it still wouldn't matter, my skill level compared to the best golfers in the world is just completely different.
I could maybe do some damage from 150 in with multiple attempts, but when they're putting it 300 yards dead center every tee shot and I'm going about 230 and probably in the trees it doesn't matter much.

the average lost ball count with a casual golfer off of the 18th tee alone would be about 4. i was amazed at how narrow that tee shot is from the tips and how long you have to carry the ball before it opens up.

Could i shoot two 84's essentially?
maybe. I doubt it.
I think i could shoot one round around that score, if i played really well, don't think i could do it two days in a row, with all the people watching me.
A good game for me is shooting a 90 at a place like Carter Plantation.
Being as competitive as i am, i won't say i can't, but if i had to bet on it and was smart about betting, i'd say no i could not.

No, not at all.
Unless I got 20 shots and played from the kid's tee

Do I get to practice the week before or am I just going out for the tournament? If so, I believe I could beat Ben's score from last year just barely and I'm about a 2-3 handicap. Hitting the ball twice from the same exact spot is just such a huge advantage because you can tell what you did wrong and fix it on the exact same shot. Only one ball I'm not sure I'd break 90.

No way on earth would I finish last.

i played college golf and 2 time club champion at one of the top 5 best courses in the state, the pressure alone would not make a difference if you're scrambling.

TV doesn't do it justice.

lol of course. Even the best golfers on this board would shoot +30 or more with that format.
