Hell yes. I once scored 24 points in an intramural game in college. I could not miss from 3 that night.

If you're applying for a job as a pro athlete yes. If not, no.

Unlike which high school you went to, sports tells me something about a person. It tells me that they are team oriented, they take care of themselves, and they can multitask very well. If they made good grades in college and were able to represent their school in sports, then that's major props. You should definitely put that on your resume.

I think it depends on the job and your experience.

If you are just out of college and can apply skills you learned in that sport to why you would be a good employee than it can be of value. i.e. dependability, work ethic, ability to maintain work life balance, leadership skills, team work etc...

It can say a lot more than just "I'm athletic".

I made an "a" in badminton at LSU and beat all the Asians in the end of the year tournament. Should I put that?

I was "Harvey the Crawfish", the Nicholls State University mascot for two seasons (including that one we beat Southeastern " and I always put it on resumes. People don't realize the level of athleticism (I mean the head itself weighs like 10 pounds) it takes to earn the mascot job at a top tier school and most of my bosses have appreciated this.
