dude, you still haven't answered my question. i know every team has had significant injuries. i watch the NBA too.

the reason you haven't answered my question, i presume, is because you more enjoy saying a bunch of shite that isn't true and acting like it's the truth. but that's cool. you do you.

Keep telling yourself that. Pelicans are 16-14 vs the east this year.

So you think over a massive sample size, they would have a better record against West teams than East teams? You are delusional. It's coincidence over a small sample size.

AD has missed 10 of those 30 games and only 6 of the 38 West games. 33% vs 16%. Just coincidently got hurt on a couple of East Coast road-trips.

That's doubtful. They are not better than the Hawks, Cavs, Bulls, Raptors and maybe even the Wizards. That would put them at 5th or 6th.

lol, healthy Raptors and Wizards are not better than healthy Pelicans.

Many teams have been plagued this year.

Kevin durant has been hurt.
Russ GOATbrook has been hurt.
PG13 has been hurt
D12 has been hurt.
Rose has been hurt.
Kemba walker has been hurt.
Chris bosh has been hurt.
Kawhi Leonard has been hurt.
I can go on...

And I'm sure their respective message boards have been lamenting those injuries Jesus, you are just making fun of what you wish the message board did.

The conversation on Pels talk is pretty realistic and honestly leans more on the side of irrational negativity rather than irrational optimism.. No matter how many times you make fun of some non-existing opinion holders, nobody is claiming the Pelicans are an amazing team who are just a victim of circumstance. They are a young improving team that have things (injuries, player development, coaching, etc) worth discussing. And that's what the fans do on the Pelicans specific message board.

Yes, other teams are injured, and that gets talked about on the board. Go look at the threads and read it. The fans are very realistic about the situation and the break we are catching. Of course Pelicans fans are going to be focusing more on Pelicans injuries on a Pelicans message board.

Are you serious? Just in this very thread someone said that they are 'easily' a 50 win team given a whole bunch of different variables.

To try and get this thread moving in a non MSB vs PT direction, the injuries this season have been crazy across the league. I'm really not sure if the things they're talking about doing to help like extending the season to reduce the number of back to backs will make that big of a difference. I think this is just one of those years with a higher than normal injury rate to well known players.

New injury to report - Terrence jones. Collapsed lung. Out for 'extended period.' Per ESPN.

According to Basketball Reference, AD only had 7 DNPs against the East; they went 4-3 on those games. He also had 3 games where he played 12 or fewer minutes, which I guess is close to a DNP; they went 2-1 in those games. So in those then games they went 6-4. Therefore they must be 10-10 with him (roughly the same). If you consider he games he did play some they are 12-11.

Either way, 30 games is not a big sample, but it is a large enough sample to make some objective predictions. Based on this, 50+ wins would surely be possible, but it wouldn't be some foregone conclusion.

You seem very upset about something that has no bearing on your team.

And he's only played 25 games this year. He was out for most of the season with a leg injury.

So Houston has missed their starting PF and C for huge chunks of the season.

Sucks for him because he made a big improvement this year and he had such bad luck with two weird injuries.

He's upset about Pelicans fans belly aching about injuries derailing the season because the Pistons had their season rederailed by injury to a key starter. Injuries to key players are really out of control this season, it's not just the Pels. Harden is in the MVP conversation because Houston has had as many injury issues as the Pelicans.
