Well, congratulations. You're a racists according to the homeless lady at the bus stop in downtown Shreveport.

As I was walking in to work this morning I got hit up for change like always. I declined to donate and then she asked me, "Why everybody wearing them green shirts today?"

I explained that today was March 17th, St. Patrick's day.

To which she responded, I shite you not, "What is that some kinda of white pride statement? Are you proud to be Irish?!?! You's a racists"

I just said "yes", then went inside to make a cup of coffee... I'm not even Irish, I'm Norwegian.

Ohhh, I bet there's already someone complaining about the same thing on Tumblr.

Don't care, wore green.

I'm glad homeless people begging for money aren't a part of my daily routine

Not yet. Still remarkably underdressed at the moment.

I wore green today because my kids would want to know why if I didn't it. It's easier for me to just put a green shirt than tell them that St Patrick's Day is stupid.
