"failure to illuminate headlights at dusk"...that's what the ticket said.

It's illegal in FL and VA as well as it should be.
Well, I agree. In my defense, there was some loon 3 cars in front who, despite having his turn signal on and zero cars coming, simply would not turn right on red. Turning right on red is not illegal in TN, and people who don't do it are stupid.

Well, I won't pretend to know the law as well as a police officer, but I'm pretty sure that's BS. I know someone who was an Atlanta policeman for 22 years, and he told me there's only 4 moving violations you can get in trouble for on private property like a parking lot; DUI, hit and run, vehicular homicide, and laying drags. Those "No through traffic" signs are completely bogus and don't mean anything legally. YOu don't even have to stop at the stop signs (within reason of course, you can't just mow people down if they're crossing).
I got in a wreck once because someone was pulling out of a shopping center driveway that was marked as "Exit Only" and the cop told me that since it was on private property they couldn't do anything legally to her for going the wrong way.

I was told this morning at the DMV that you can get a $120 ticket if your address on your registration does not match what's on your license.

I've always heard that 7 miles over the speed limit is your buffer. 10 over isn't a BS ticket.
It's more the fact that the speed limit drops from 70 to 60 for no apparent reason. Both tickets were in the same night between 2-245 AM.

First BS ticket so far.

I got the hot beer ticket as well when I was 17. Still, I knew it was against the law to have it in the car so it's my fault.
Most of the posts in this thread are folks just refusing to accept responsibilities for their actions. It's fairly typical for immature people.
agree 100%, don't break the law if you aren't willing to risk a ticket

This would mean that no one can borrow anyone elses car ever!

Cop was wrong. Reckless driving applies on both public and private property.
Also, regardless of traffic citations, insurance law and negligence applies on private property.

Please tell me that you didn't garner that from a law requiring your license address to match your registration address.

A ten dollar fine for parking in student parking area while in college. I had the tag hanging in clear view and a receipt dating from the beginning of the semester.
He didn't see it so I had to pay. G@d d@mned rent a cop. That shite still pisses me off thinking about it.

State parks don't allow alcohol, right? Were you in a State Park? Sounds like the case and if so, not a BS ticket. You broke the law.

There are a lot of poor laws and a lot of selective enforcement of traffic laws with the sole purpose of revenue collection.
There have been a couple studies done that concluded that it was virtually impossible to operate a vehicle for more than 15 minutes in the regular course and scope of driving without violating some traffic regulation.

I didn't actually get a ticket but I was pulled over in front of my house and given a warning because I had turned my turn signal on too late before making a turn...

Nope. The river ran through two separate counties. One allowed it and the other didnt. No one informed us and I just got picked out of the crowd. Officer said if it was in a koozie he would have ignored it.

I was driving in a 45 zone and into a 20 mph zone. I slowed down to 23 mph and the cop still gave me the ticket. He didn't write that ticket because he wants to enforce the law or is concerned about public safety.
The court cost is $125 in this Parrish. Regardless of how fast you are going. It is all about revenue.

"half my car was passed the stop bar" so the cop wrote me ticket. He was directing traffic at a broken light and chewed me out saying I could of killed him and that his daughter wouldn't have a daddy anymore. seriously.
