It just looks super cartoony. not like that was a problem with 3000, but I'm used to the "realistic" looking 4.

I'm sure after playing it, it'll grow on me.

So I just expanded off the strip that leads to the river. Decided I'd build an upscale community that had all kinds of regulations. There's no smoking, pets, or large trucks allowed and education is a high priority there.

Thought this was a cool shot down in the buildings.

There's already a shite load of mods and add-ons on the Steam Workshop for this game. Good to see people supporting it.

My machine isn't a monster by any means but I'm running it with the highest settings and am not having any issues.

My machine is several years old and runs it fine. Graphics aren't at the highest settings but it's not bad looking

Nice shots!

I now have 23K living in the city after 15 hours of game play.

What will ultimately be my city center's heavy density buildings have maxed out on levels.

Biggest problems are that my people can't stay healthy. I have rerouted the water away from the sewage and that has helped some what. But I probably have as many doctors in Robwood as I do people and still they get sick in droves.

I have added a sports arena and exp to the map as well as a few statues.

I have begun to buy the zones up around the city as expansion is defiantly in the future. Slowly but surely I will move my industry further from the center zone which will no doubt help my city's health immensely.

I need to figure out the bus system as I can get them going but it keeps telling me my link isn't complete. Got the subs working great though.

Game is going pretty well considering I did zero preplanning and am just winging it for the most part sans reading any of the tutorials and the like.

Apparently there's already a first person camera view now. It looks promising

It was the first time in an eon where I kept thinking, I'll play a bit longer then head to bed.

I didn't find my pillow until 4 am.

This game has the potential to be everything Simcity 4 was and more. And that is a game that hasn't left my hard drive in 10 years.

welp I'm buying

A city building simulator. If you played SimCity at all in the past, it's basically that but much better. You build zones for residents to move in, then you provide industrial and commercial areas for them to work and shop. That's the gist of it but there's soooooooo much more to it. It's got a lot to do but it's not overwhelming. You get down into raising taxes for certain districts and what industry you want your city to specialize in based on the resources the land you settle on provides.
