Can someone recommend gc for finishing punchlist items?

Need help finding gc to finish extensive punchlist for my home. The builder barely comes to work, is doing everything himself to save money and honestly doing the worst quality and effort possible. It's so bad that if he continues we'll have to hire someone later down the road to redo all of it. And at this rate he will never finish.

Since you didn't say where you are located, I can only assume that you need a recommendation for someone in Fairbanks, Alaska

Is there a reason you havent fired him and hired another one yet?
And why are you building a home in Northern Montana?

Every day on this board someone in BR needs contractor help with something. I need to open an office in Baton Rouge.

Did you not sign a contract with the GC?

You mean you didn't ask for a definite completion date for the Punch List items?

Tell your husband it's time to play hard ball with the builder. Be firm.

Hold any payment you have left to pay him.
Please don't tell me you've paid him completely.

This isn't going to help you but,
Wtf is driveway paint? I'm in construction and have never heard of anyone painting their driveway.

We aren't sure if we can doesn't he have a year to complete punchlist items?
No. You can send him a certified letter and set a time limit on it. If he doesn't finish by the set limit, you have a right to hire someone else and seek legal action against him for breach of contract, the cost of repairs, plus legal fees.
You can also turn him into the LSLBC if you do successfully sue him but they won't do anything to him until the courts hear the case as they can only enforce licensing issues otherwise.
You can also report him to the state Attorney General for unfair business practices. Don't fool with BS like the BBB that has no power.
