Which type of knot do you tie your heavy leader to hook with?

For those who use 30+ lbs fluoro as leader, which type of knot do you use to connect with your hook/lure?

Uni to hook.
Double uni to main line if I am not using a swivel.

I prefer the double palomar; primarily because I use almost nothing but braid but the palomar also works great with fluoro or mono.

Palomar, but I don't use leaders unless throwing topwaters. I just tie straight to braid.

Only time I don't really use leader is when I'm throwing topwater.

snell the hook and then tie to the main line with a uni/uni
Braid straight to topwater? Did that once...never again.

I always use braid with a mono leader when throwing topwaters. I don't like using straight braid for them.
ETA I use a double uni knot for the leader.

Well what happened? I go back and forth with a leader on braid depending on how lazy I am.
As far as tying a large line to hook, I use a snell on circle hooks. On J hooks with larger leader, I like a crimp.

power snell (uni) to hook

Why?
If you're throwing a topwater frog and don't need any action, you still wouldn't tie braid straight to hook?

I find that braid gets wrapped and knotted around treble hooks way too often, especially when the fish are tail slapping. Throw some 20 or 30# fluorocarbon with a uni to uni and problem solved.

I fish a lot of topwater and the amount of wrapping is the same with braid and with leader. My guide buddies make fun of me when I tie leader to topwater, but like I said, I could go wither way.

It may wrap, but it doesn't knot like braid. I guess its just personal preference.
ETA: what does Howard do, because that MFer loves him some topwater

I'm too lazy to tie leaders to my topwaters. Braid ftw.

San Diego Jam knot. Easy, strong, good with fluoro.
