US Airways Sucks

I have been stuck in Phoenix since Friday trying to get back to Dallas. I have been trying to work out a ticketing snaffu between US airways and American airlines. I finally got it worked out but was told I had to speak to an agent at the Airport to get my ticket printed. No problem.
Well my experience sucked. As soon as I walk up to the counter I encounter Angry black woman. This agent decides to embarrass me in front of other customers which elicits laughter from the crowd. Throughout my interaction with her I was calm, cool, and collected but I did make the comment that I felt that I have been held hostage by the ticketing mistakes US airways made since Friday. She replies in a sarcastic tone, "Who held you hostage sir? You should have called the cops. HAHAHAH" which elicited the laughter from the crowd.
I know sweet burn but the bottom line is that how can a company that states it's committed to customer service allow agents to be employed that treat customers like that?
It's hard to describe what happened but if it would have happened to you, the insensitivity of the entire situation, you would understand.
This is the first and last time I am ever flying US Airways and after the merger is completed will fly another airline altogether.

The airlines have the absolute worst customer service. It's the sad nature of that industry.

Nah that would bring me down to her level.
I do plan on calling a buddy of mine in Customer Relations at AA (I used to work at AA) and see what can be done. I honestly wouldn't have cared if she was just angry and rude to me but the fact that she decided to go out of her way to embarrass me, a customer, in front of other customers is reprimand territory and at worse a firable offense for someone that works in a customer service oriented position.

All airlines are horrific in the department of getting what you pay for. I can't remember the last time I've flown and gotten to my destination at the actual time I was supposed to.

Southwest rules. Should've rented a car and made the drive.

I think you qualify for a name change at this point

That sucks. I would have demanded a refund and rented a car to get back to Dallas if they could not have had me on a plane by sat.

That is horrible and if I would you I would be calling your friend at AA and reporting her.
I am no fan of US-Air but I have to fly them in April and my return trip is a combo of AA and US-AIr. I hope, I do not have that experience.

Normally I'd agree, especially if this was a single incident. But i've been dealing with these asshats since Friday and the entire experience I have had with US airways was capped off with this last interaction.

I took the liberty of looking online for you...There were other flights and carriers...Did you not know that..?

I was going to suggest something similar. Even if it comes out of your pocket, who has that much time to waste waiting on an airline to fix something?
Also, what exactly was the snafu?

AA and US-AIr
This was the problem. Their systems aren't sync'd completely.
On friday(which was my original date) I was rebooked on a flight for Sunday but someone at US Airways later in the day, without notifying me, canceled that rebooking and rebooked me for a flight Saturday. I had no clue but I just so happen to try to check in early saturday morning for my sunday flight when I noticed this so I jetted over to the airport.
I was in line with US airways for an hour to get my ticket since their kiosks were down. When I get to the US airways counter I told it's not their ticket problem and was sent over to the AA counter for another 3 hours which meant I missed my Saturday flight. Since I had to miss the rebooked rebooked flight, the counter agent rebooked me for Monday since their were no more flights until then.
Sunday I call up US airways to double check that I have a ticket but they said they had no record of any rebooking and had to conference in an AA agent to get it resolved. This took 5 hours on the phone to get resolved.
So I show up today on Monday and I experience what I mentioned in my OP. I honestly don't know how I kept my cool this entire time.

Since this is the OT, I have to ask. Are you just making up this story as a cover for your wife and you actually spent the weekend with your IRL9, OT5 mistress in Phx?

I tried taking this Route, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday and there were no flights on any other carriers to Dallas. Trust me, I spent many hours trying on Friday and Saturday trying to get on another airline. Plus I go through a travel agent for business trips (which I am on) and she tried many times to work her magic to get me out of here earlier but no dice.

Not sure that is the issue when you already have money sunk into an existing ticket. Theoretically, you could have bought a ticket on another airline, but when you are already dissatisfied with the airline (in this case US Air) you are likely a little jaded in thinking that you now would have to get a refund from them. Why lump another potentially bad experience on top of another.
