Lacrosse is like disc golf for frat boys who don't smoke weed.

Wasn't going to say anything, but considering a few of those hits had flags thrown, I doubt they are all legal.

Also, shoving someone off balance with their momentum is not a big hit. I'd say only a few of those in that video are what I call a huge hit, where a guy gets dropped by getting checked in the chest.

"Biography: IGNORE ME!!!

Occupation: To observe and pass judgement by elaborate, unspecified criteria"

Both of these explain a lot.. Your "unspecified criteria" must be your ignorance. I think I will take your advice and Ignore you after this post..

I had to go and rewatch. Only thing close to flag I saw was around 1:48 when you could see ref reach for pocket but it switched clips before you saw flag thrown. Maybe I missed something, but from watching these seemed legit to me.

A lot of the hitting is from the sticks themselves. You can hit as hard as you want on the hands with an aluminum shaft. They wear gloves, but leaves some pretty bad injuries. I've seen lots of broken hands and fingers. Plus, getting hit with a solid hard rubber ball anywhere (especially the groin) hurts like a mo-fo. Lacrosse balls can be thrown upwards of 120-125mph by the professionals. High schoolers can get it up over 100. It WILL hurt if hit where there are no pads (legs, ribs, stomach, neck)

I've never played Lacrosse nor seen it in person, but I have seen pro lacrosse on TV. I have been familiar with the term LAX since I first heard of the sport about 15 years ago. It's not uncommon at all.

Actually according to the Harris poll, soccer gained 4% points in popularity in 2014. Nfl lost 3% pts, and Ncaa lost 1% pt. LAX wasn't even relevant enough to include on poll.

Congratulations on the historic start! Looks like there is some real talent out there this year! The club has come a LONG way since the days of playing on the parade grounds with borrowed jerseys from the UREC and one pedophile ref from the New Orleans area. Used to hate the long drives to Texas to get throttled by the likes of UT and TAMU.

Really glad to see the team peforming so well. Keep up the good work! Geaux Tigers!

I'm an EX-LAX player. Could slip out and make a play anytime, sometimes without warning.

The ranking is of teams who are members of the MCLA(Mens Collegiate Lacrosse Association). Every school in the SEC is a member of this league as well as schools from the Big X, most ACC schools and some Pac 12 schools. LSU travels this weekend to Tallahassee to play Fla. ST. and Central Florida, but ranked in the LAX Pro rankings and members of the MCLA.

I am in no way interested or a fan of Lacross, but these idiots ranting about never having seen the abbreviation LAX must be living under a rock. Seriously, that's common knowledge for anyone that has a television or a radio.

Dude what a terrible link. First, it is the MLL which I'm amazed hasn't folded yet. Second, it's the MLL. There are so many better hits in the college level.

Lax is the national sport of Canada too. Yea, look it up.

Laxpower isn't the best measuring stick this early in the season. Nonetheless, LSU has definitely improved. I am interested in seeing how they do versus Texas, who is usually one of the better teams in the LSA. I think that this team's ceiling is the first round of the MCLA tournament, but it looks like they've made a lot of progress.
