I'm tentatively on the bandwagon, although as a sports fan of Georgia/Atl teams I know deep in my heart that there will be a downfall and heartbreak at some point in the season, so I'm not going to let myself get too emotionally invested.

This guy! I kind of hopped on last year, but to be fair I'm still a Mavs fan (originally from Dallas) 1st. It's nice to have a team I can root for that's on TV here though and they're in the Eastern Conference so I don't feel conflicted.

I hope a lot have. It's fun when a state team really starts winning. I don't see why people get bent out of shape when people start to cheer for their team.
I'm not a fan of the people who only cheer for the hot team, but if they aren't NBA fans and the Hawks season steers them toward it

I give fans of the Hawks/Pels/Grizzlies some slack when it comes to being bandwagon fans, as the majority of the NBA under Stern was shamelessly loaded in favor of a few choice teams. It was hard to support your smaller market and 'undesirable' teams knowing they had no chance going into the playoffs. It's a lot more fun now that every team actually has a decent chance. I'm loving the parity in the NBA this year.
