20 shots for tyreke

made 5

had 5 blocked

that's on Monty and Reke running the offense

Reke was trying to match Westbrook it seemed. The whole team didn't seem to play hard entering the 4th tied. We needed Asik to flatten Westbrook on a drive to the rim a few times to make him at least think about it.

Its one game, yeah it's an important one, but ultimately it equals only 1 loss in the standings. We've seen so many positive things in the last two weeks I really think we just had an off night, we had decent looks and couldnt get it to fall late. Hopefully that wont be the case on the return trip Friday.

Apparently, every single loss is Monty's fault. A good coach would magically make shots fall and would "motivate" professionals out of a shitty night.

Jrue would of contained Westbrook

17 of 53 combined from AD, Reke, and EG

53 shots out of total 96 shots taken...not many teams are going to win when their top 3 players play like that

What changes would you have proposed, Mr. Westwood?

I'm not the head coach. I'm not getting paid 2.75 million a year to analyze the opposing team and create strategies to be successful

Easiest move would have been not take your rim defender out when the opposing teams pg is slashing it up when he's out.

That wouldn't have helped much though the way Westbrook was on fire with his pull up jumper. Asik should have played more, but we probably still lose with more Asik simply because the 3 guys you want taking most of your shots were bad last night.

Agreed, 66 points in the paint from a team without a dominant offensive big man is pathetic when we are supposed to have the paint locked down with AD and Asik

TigerinATL gets it. Westbrook on fire with his jumper made Asik much less effective and our shooters were missing open shots. I don't blame Monty for this one.

He was on fire, it may not have helped, but I'd rather have him take jump shots than high percentage layups.

The breakdown on his shot selection was insane how many he took at the rim.

What is on Monty is regrouping and getting the guys ready for what is now a must win on the road.

Hopefully Tyreke doesn't start trying to match Westbrook again. You could see it happening early in the 3rd and then it became a bunch of ball-stopping, ball-watching, and missed shots.

Wesley mentioned in the first half, when Perkins took a terrible shot, that it was probably a result of Westbrook not passing the ball. That results in everyone trying to get theirs when they finally touch the ball. Tyrec made his first appearance in a couple of weeks and the whole offense sputtered because of it. Unfortunately, without Holiday, Monty doesn't really have the option to sit Tyreke when he starts reverting to bad habits.

"we were obviously off but quit moving the ball."

The ball just stopped in the fourth. When this team misses a few, especially on good looks, they revert to bad habits and the ball gets stuck. It was PAINFUL to watch it happen last night. And where was the interior D? Geez.

by the way, we could have really used Jrue to at least get in Westbrook's way.

And you're the expert here right? You get paid the big bucks to analyze the team and say when we shouldn't criticize Monty? We should all listen to you and ignore what our eyes are telling us? Go write a Bleacher Report article if you think you're so smart

I don't think Monty coached a bad game last night and his game plan for Westbrook was decent considering we didn't have Jrue (or even Rivers who only stepped up on defense vs. big name players) and AD wasn't 100%.

Funny though how his out of timeout plays that everyone kept touting earlier in the season are a big hot pile of poop lately.
