That TO at 1:06 cost them the game. Really fricked their clock management up
It didn't help but come on. Besides, that interception play took 20 seconds to set up; they were all out of place.

It wasn't a bad call. If he runs it, 3rd down has to be a pass. If passes, 3rd can be a run or pass. Also if there's a penalty, they still have a TO.

They could have run it three times.

They had two timeouts.

True. But Lendale White, like Lynch, was a best and their short yardage specialist and had 1000+ yards running.

I get that but no Reggie in the game gave Texas a better opportunity to key on him. Reggie in the game most likely occupies 2 guys by himself.

Remember, this is the same coach that while at USC leaves Heisman Trophy winner Reggie Bush on the sidelines when converting a 4th and 2 wins you back to back NCs.

They had 1 TO. In the event that they don't score on the first run, they have to burn it. Then for 3rd and 4th down, they are basically stuck with the personel group they use on 3rd down because their wouldn't be enough time to do a substitute with less than 25 secs.

Or they could run it there. If they don't get in, take the timeout. Then you can throw it the next down

They had 2 TOs. They could have run it three straight times and not have to worry about the time at all
