At Toledo: 4 pounds
In the Calcasieu: 2 pounds
It all depends on the body of water.

3 lbs. I aint eating no fish that could win someone a tournament.

20 lbs. Cut into small nuggets, seasoned, rubbed with mustard, dipped in egg wash, dredged in flour, shaken, deep fried at 325 until golden. Dip in homemade chow-chow/tartar sauce.
I will take a chest full sac-a-lait any day over bass though. (and specks over anything)

Small ones if I do keep any. I prefer to eat white perch, catfish, and speckled trout.

Once it hits 5 lbs I won't eat it. No particular reason. 1-3 lbs are ideal for eating IMO.

Smaller the better....bigger than 2 lbs seem to lose table quality. A 10" to 16" Bass is the best eating out there....honestly just don't keep many bass though. Catch and release looking for double digit weight....We fillet white perch and catfish for the freezer and eat perch and bar fish fresh out the lake they never see the fridge

I'm not worried about a tournament.

Someone else mentioned a tournament. It was a general response.

Dang, this escalated quickly.
I guess it depends on the body of water, but I love fried bass. Usually don't keep any over 3#.

The 12-14" ones out of Gibson are my favorite. Not sure why a marsh bass has a better taste but I find it does. The biggest really depends what we caught that day, but I've et 4lbers before
