Do you have specific weekly food/restaurant nights?

Like a specific night every week you go to a certain restaurant or cook a certain thing?
We just started doing a weekly vegetarian night and its been fun.
Now we are going to start a weekly ethnic food night, mostly because my wife is also scared to go to ethnic restaurants (which I love), so I thought it might be a good idea to introduce her to some things at home first. Tonight I'm making an Asian pork and noodle dish.
I know it might seem rigid to say "every Monday night is vegetarian night" but it really helps force you to try new recipes when it becomes part of your schedule.

The only consistent items in my diet weekly are a bottle of wine and scrambled eggs.
Other than that we go out to dinner on any given night depending on our social situations, school, sports, business, visiting family or friends. I enjoy going out to dinner mid week. Better food and service mostly. We plan occasionally what we might cook but more often than not we communicate during the day and decide what we would like and stop to buy what is needed if we don't already have.
However we keep enough around to not have to stop if we don't want to. We all like leftovers, soups, salads and breakfast for dinner so at least a couple nights a week that is what we will have.

I go to dinner every Tuesday night with my best friend, and it used to be the same stuff at the same places, but we've been on a "go to different places" kick.
A lot of same ole gets rotated in, though, because Tuesday has lots of specials.
$.50 wings at BWW, $2 tacos at Rum House, $1 tacos at Lucy's, and half off oysters all day at Chimes.

We seem to go out Thursdays more than any other night.
No set routines though on cooking or anything.

We did Meatless Mondays for a while and then schedules got in the way. Need to get back to it some night. That's the only thing.
I know some people definitely have the same thing on certain nights. Like bacon and eggs on Tuesday, spaghetti on Wednesday, salad on Thursday and so on. I guess it makes things less stressful and makes the budget easy but I would get bored with that real quick.

I think we know his weekly dinner rotation as well as he does.

I prefer weekdays. Fighting the weekend restaurant crowd is not for me.

I couldn't do it either. I mean, I'd say I end up eating pizza or a burger once a week a good bit.. but the same meal the same day of the week? Nah.
At Dempseys, half of our customers were people who came in on the same days and ate the same things. I knew most of their orders before they even sat down.

quote:I am just not that person at all. Even if I go back to a restaurant where I absolutely loved what I got last time, I'm most likely to try something else. Same goes for restaurants. When choosing a place to go out, 90% percent of the time we are trying a place we haven't been before.

yeah thats too rigid for me
I can do a style of dish every week, but a specific dish every week on certain nights is a bit much
although recently my wife has been bringing home the Thai chicken pizza from Papa Murphys after her yoga class on Wednesday...so I guess I can count that as a weekly thing too

When's the last time you went? They are $.65 on Tuesdays at BWW in Houston.

Or whatever. Cheap wings
I can't eat more than 5, which is really annoying when you want to get a variety of sauces.

Wednesday during the school year, we drop the little one off at CCD, then go out to eat for our one childless meal of the week. We have to be able to get in and out in about 45 minutes though so we are not late picking up the boy. Lately it's been McAlisters for the salads.
Sundays in the winter, I cook either jar roux gumbo or jamb.

My weekly fix is a trip to Rama under the overpass to get a big ol' serving of their pad thai. It's become an addiction at this point

We cook at home Sunday through Thurs and sometimes Saturday if the weather is good and I can grill. Friday night is always takeout night and occasionally well go take the kids to a restaurant but not often because chaos.

When I'm in Texas, I eat either Mexican or Vietnamese almost once a day. I think I did 6-7 days in a row this past week or so. Some of those days, both of them

On Wednesdays I like to eat oysters with taco cheese.
Then on Thursday I use the leftover cheese on my fajitas.
