nothing and try to keep the public unaware.

It's an interesting questions. I would assume at this point there is no plan on paper for such an incident without knowing the size and mass of the asteroid.
I like to believe that we have a good month or two of warning before it hit that we could identify where it will strike and get the area evacuated. In the case of one large enough to alter the scope of humanity, well... God's will is God's will.

This is why they have been focussing on all of that Muslim outreach. That way, the Muslims will blow themselves up with the astroid and save us all!

We'd have a lot longer than a month or two
We'd try to move it. Here is a good discussion on it.

We fricked basically.
Depending on how big the asteroid is, the fallout would be as or more catastrophic than the direct impact.

Nothing.
We haven't even put a man on another legit planet yet. With all our technology.
We have no time to prepare for a state size missle moving at 25 miles a second.

Id guess it depends on how much time we have when we catch it.
If its not far out our only chance may be to just launch everything we got at it to hopefully make a dent.
Otherwise, if we have years of time to do something, something may be thought up.
Unless we have 10 years planning time most likely we are bonnnnnned
