I just find it funny how random his butthurt is the tuck rule is long gone, but it was clearly the right call at the time based on the rules in the rule book

And then he acts like that year was the only success Brady's ever had

I didn't listen to the audio, but they were talking about this today on sports radio. I don't see the problem.

What is wrong with saying that we may have never heard of Tom Brady with Drew Bledsoe's injury?

If there isn't anything wrong with that, then Ray isn't too far off with his statement.

You can argue that Brady's talent would have taken over regardless, but there are plenty of stories of successful people who struggles until an opportunity felt in their lap.

shite, I think Brady himself may agree with Ray.

Wait what? That was his 3rd year on the Pats. It was his 2nd as a starter after replacing an injured Drew Bledsoe and leading them to a first round bye following an 0-2 start. He went to the Pro Bowl that year and Bledsoe was traded to the Bills. You only heard of him AFTER the tuck rule game the following season? That game is what led to all the Pats future success as well?

Maybe I am misremembering, but I'm pretty sure the tuck rule game was his first year as a starter. He beat the Raiders, then Bledsoe beat the Steelers, and Brady returned to beat the Rams.

He is one of the best/leaders quarterbacks of all time in the NFL. He might not of been seen that year, but you can bet that fricker would be winning rings somewhere.

Ray Lewis needs to go to anger management before he kills someone else.

You're correct. Brady played in one game in the 2000 season, his first in the NFL. He took over after Bledsoe was hurt with about 2 minutes remaining in a loss to the Jets in the 2nd game of the 2001 season., leaving the Pats at an 0-2 start. Under Brady, the team struggled back to a 5-5 record, then won the last 6 games of the regular season, then came the Tuck game.

There's a bigger question here begging to be answered:

Why is a barely coherent murderer getting a job speaking on television?

yea my memory was hazy on that. I should have looked it up to make sure before I posted.

However, the point was that it was pretty big news at the time that Bledsoe had to sit and eventually got replaced b/c at the time he was fairly highly regarded.

It's kind of an interesting "butterfly effect" question though.

The tuck ruling goes the other way, maybe Gruden doesn't get traded by Oakland. Maybe New England doesn't feel the need to move on from Bledsoe. Brady rides pine for a few more years. Peyton wins three Super Bowls.

Meh. They made the move to start Brady over Bledsoe already. And with Bledsoes albatross contract and trade value, bill would've shipped him off and stuck with Brady

And Brady, with more time to learn on the bench, wins 8 straight superbowls. And ole Ray Ray can't find a good place to hide the white suit.
