You talk a lot of shite for a Saints fan
I have gotten at least 10 text messages from Saints fans talking shite now that Dallas is out.

All I know is that it couldn't happen to a more deserving team or individual. Frick the Cowboys, karma fool!

How many of those calls do they really get right in the course of a game with no challenges? Probably not many.

Yes, it was a catch. Just like Calvin Johnson's in Chicago a few years back.

Just curious.

And he never stretched.
You are really going to argue that he did not look dead at the goal post and reach out for it? I guess, he also didn't catch the ball with his left shoulder facing the endzone and then twisted his body towards the endzone. Must be a parallel universe that took place in.

From beginning I thought the to the ground rule should be applied to the quick tap of feet going down or out of bounds and definitely when not landing on feet but other part like shoulder and side, but I don't think it should be applied when a player takes two strides or more after securing ball whether going down or being tackled
Still I think after his second foot touches he advances football 2 or 3 yards (almost 4 or 5 from controlling ball) including after 2nd foot down got tangled with defender a last little shove with his 3rd foot down towards goal and including his right hand to ground attempting to stay up long enough to get ball across goal line. His arm just quickly collapsed and right forearm hit ground at 1/2 yard line as he started to extend, and then left hand with ball hit ground a little closer to goal line.

Note 1: It is not necessary that he commit such an act, provided that he maintains control of the ball long enough to do so.

How is there even a debate? Under NFL rules, it's not a catch. No grey area.

I like how this argument has slowly progressed from "He didn't maintain control through to the ground" to "He didn't make a football move" to now" Well, it only LOOKED like he made a football move but he really wasn't trying to".
The attempts to defend the call slowly grow more absurd as poor argument after poor argument is flushed out. Four hours ago, a football move didn't matter. Now that it clearly has been shown it does, we've just decided that trying to read Dez Bryant's mind is more appropriate than letting the call stand.
The kind of person capable of looking at that video and saying he wasn't trying to extend the ball for a TD simply cannot be reasoned with. They are capable of believing literally anything.

The fanboys and contrarians are going to see what they want to see, despite clear evidence. I mean there are people saying the ball never touched the ground for a Christ's sake, there's no convincing someone like that
The same could be said for you. You have yet to provide actual evidence that doesn't require x-Ray vision. You clearly are just as biased as those you object to.

Ditto.

This is a mind melt....there is no reality where that was a catch under the written rule

And the dive you keep alluding to didnt happen. He was falling down.
He dove when he pushed off with his left foot but that's beside the point the rule states that reaching out is considered a football move rendering it a catch. More so though the call on the field was a catch and no view shows visible evidence of the ball contacting the ground. Therefore, either the play stands or he didn't complete the catch until he was on his back in the endzone so it could have been ruled a touchdown though unlikely that would have been called.
