Looking for a good concealed carry weapon. I already have a Glock 23 so I'm wanting to keep the calibers the same so as to save $ on ammo. Any other recommendations?

My wife has a 26 (9mm) and I carry a 23. The 26 obviously is the same frame as the 27. I've shot my wife's gun at the range. It's just not comfortable to me and I can't imagine what it would be like in .40 S&W. It fits my wife's small hands but not mine. Nothing against the gun, just not enough there to hold on to it seems. If you do it, look into the pinky extender magazine. It'll give you a bit more solid grip. My two cents worth.

CZ has one but its probably heavier and there seem to be problems finding magazines for them.

A Glock 27 is a great choice especially if you want to stick with .40cal ammunition. With a Glock 27 you also have the option to buy a 9mm conversion barrel by lone wolf for $100. No other modifications are necessary other than buying standard glock 9mm mags. With 40-9 conversion barrels you can always convert from 40cal to 9mm but you cannot convert 9mm to 40cal in Glock models.

If you carry it, I hope you never have to fire it. My wife had one and it was not fun to take to the range.

Agree. Put one in your hand first. All those sub compacts are a PITA to shoot

I have one and it serves the purpose well. It is easy to carry, it is reliable, I dont mind leaving it in a locked truck and if it gets stolen I can live with that a whole lot better than any other of my guns being stolen. It is not fun to shoot, the .40 is snappy to begin with and the sub compact frame does not help. I have the pinky extender and it helps some. I shoot it enough to stay competent with it, but it is not a gun that I enjoy shooting

I have a 26 and although it isn't a .40 (which I'm not a fan) the recoil on the gun is not bad at all. It is also amazingly accurate for such a short gun.
I have no problems with the regular magazine and just wrapping my pinky under the magazine.
I will say that it is not the best gun for conceal as it is very wide.

Have a 27 and 23 and both are great guns. If you plan on carrying often, i would suggest one of those smaller .380s. Much lighter and much more comfortable to carry. The 23 makes a good carry around pistol, but i dont care for it while i CC.

Definitely yea. I had one, sold it, regretted it, and bought another one. Great gun.

Yea, I have one and love.

27 is a snappy little bastard. Not a fan of subcompact polymer 40's
Range buddy of mine had one and I was shocked the first time I shot it. My glock 36, which is chambered in .45 and was the slimmest and smallest gun Glock made before the .380 hit the market, had noticeably less recoil.
He eventually sold it. If you're sold on a subcompact 40 Id look into a CZ

I was also looking at the CZ 2075, .40. I already have a CZ 82 and its a pretty good gun.

I like mine. If your hands are big they have mag extensions

Model is great, caliber is meh.
Swap the 23 for a 19 and get a 26 to go with it. Start the new year with a significant life improvement!
