That would be brutal for Auburn.

Damn. I can just see it now. He leaves AU, flames out after 2 or 3 years at SF, and comes back to college just in time for Saban's retirement.

Wouldn't it be fun to see Bama go 2 for 2 on rival college to pro, back to college coach rebounds? That whole state would burn.

Not really. The headline is misleading. it included one of the all time "insider" phrases:
quote:

My friend has never steered me wrong but

It also says:
quote:

This is not a report citing sources such as FootballScoop.com or CoachingSearch.com or any respected coaching outlet.

I think Malzahn's approach to the game - and the way he would use Kap - would help him transition fairly well to NFL, but I think he's a career college guy now. Seems to love it at AU. That said, I'd like for him to go - not out of fear, but the melt for a few days would be entertaining.

Don't think it will happen but would be quite hilarious.

Who knows? Again, I would rather have a coach that is being looked at than a coach who cannot go anywhere.

I'm also hearing that Auburn has reached out to Tommy Bowden as a replacement.

So much horseshite flying around now it's ruined regular rumors and innuendo.

Anyone can tweet whatever and it becomes a story.

Possibly. Could also make him a serious candidate for our open DC...
