It is impossible for the defense to hold constantly. The 2013 defense still finished 3rd in the SEC.
Yet, LSU is one of the top teams for time of possession. So, in reality, his defenses actually have to "hold" less and face less snaps from opposing offenses.

But the Arkansas game that cost us the sugar bowl. Again with seconds left at half and end of game. So you guys are saying Les is responsible for that? That was a shite show by the defense. Chavis shouldn't be relinquished of Blame if he is being given credit.

Makes no sense. Just one season ago lsu had one of the most prolific offenses in school history. This sounds extremely short sighted and kinda dumb by chavis if true.

Yet his defense rolled over in the final moments vs bama in tiger stadium twice.
Yet if we had anything that resembled a competent offense those last minute drives would have been moot.

This is bull shite. It's about him bashing LSU to put his new school in a better position to recruit. I don't trust a single word that comes out of his mouth about LSU. He's trashing us to better position the Aggies in the home stretch of recruiting. FRICK him.
Your head is in the sand.

Easy to point the finger. Obviously, he has no faith in Cam turning things around. Maybe he's right.

This is bulletin board material. Post it in the locker rooms, weight rooms, practice fields... The offensive players and staff need to see what everyone thinks of them. They need to get their shite together.
BTW we're still going to run all over A&M. Chavis could barely stop the run here and I don't see that changing at A&M.

It did, but his prevent defense cost LSU several games since 2011

The old saying "when they say it ain't about the money ... it's about the money" comes to mind. Well, money and "security" in this particular case.

I just don't take these journalist, even jk seriously when they have been wrong.

Sounds like bullshite to me. Chavis is whining little bitch who had problems with Cam Cameron. Thats the only problem Chavis had with LSUs offense?
Posted on 1/4/15 at 10:40 pm to RogerTheShrubber
I think it's rather telling that people can name specific games where Chavis led defenses messed up but when it's offense, you can basically name whole YEARS.
Of course one unit is going to buckle in a loss. That's how losses happen. But the defense has been light years better than the O for the better part of 7 years and rarely has ever sunk to the abysmal level our O has somehow reached with scary consistency

In both of the losses to Bama the offense had as much blame if not more than the defense. Defense played more than well enough to win...offense had opportunities to win the game with a first down or TD.

Makes perfect sense.
The article said in the past 4 years, his Ds have NEVER been below 15th in the country.
Miles hasn't had ONE offense rank that high. I meant sec rank as 1st
Chavis' D was young last year, but still never ranked as low as our offense. Im sure he thought things were gonna change by working with Cam Cameron, I'm sure he was hopeful what he saw last year was the beginning of something special. And he probably thought when my D players get older, I'm gonna have a badass O to play behind.
But LSU looked just like they used to when JJ was playing this year and even worse at times. I know LSU lost players, but frick. Your offense ranks in the 90s. There's no fricking excuse for that.
I'm sure he was fricking tired of it.
So keep holding on to one fricking year where the O looked like they had a pulse.
I don't like how he left, but if that was a part of it, I can at least understand.
So everyone pull out 2013.
Chavis can say suck my fat dick.
2010
2011
2012
2014
