I don't get all this inexperienced QB talk. Jennings was the back up all of 2013. He went in during the season when Mett got hurt. He had two full springs, one full season on the sideline, started the bowl game and the Arkansas game after Mett was lost for season. How is that not an adequate learning period for a QB. How can you explain true freshmen and other sophomores playing better at other schools with way less experience?

Disagree with this. While I absolutely don't like Miles' coaching philosophy and lack of QB development, there is enormous talent all over the field at almost all other positions.

We need Miles to have an epiphany- or get rid of him and get someone who can develop QBs- and everything else should fall into place.

Well put by Hannagriff. Throwing out rent a wins we're a .500 team whose DC jumped ship and all kinds of problems at the most important position in the game. Legitimate cause for concern.

I am getting a lot of disturbing msgs forwarded from family members off of pay sites. They are all about Les losing control of the program. Have no idea if any of it is true or not, but they sure are making it sound like there is a lot of panic over coaches and players bolting and recruits bailing.

The most important position on the field and the coaching.

This coming season will define Miles' Career
If he makes a good hire, fixes the O with Harris and sets us up for one final championship run in 15 or 16 then he can retire knowing that despite the negatigers, he won. If he pushes the program down any further, people will just remember him as only winning with saban's recruits early and then later for having a laughable offense run by former 4* or 5* players. His legacy revolves on this season. One main goal of his-or so I've heard- is to get Cam the gig after he resigns. If next season is a bust then Cam would be lucky to have a job.

The coaches who just signed extensions? Kevin tolliver who is coming next week? If any of that shite is even remotely true, then ultimately it falls on Alleva, and I make no bones about it, his arse should have been fired years ago.

Jarrett Lee was actually playing well until the return of Jefferson.

JLee was adequate but he was not a great QB. Hannagriff (or Risher) said something similar to this on the radio show last night.

That's about all you can do at this point. LSU isn't going to fire Miles, for at least two more years. Personally, I'm not sure he can turn things around, but I don't want him to make a bad hire, just to "speed up the process", because in reality, if LSU continues to go 8-5, recruiting is going to decline, and so will the program.

The offense is dismal, recruiting is at a stand still (at the moment), LSU just lost their DC. I understand his concerns, but if LSU makes the right hire, I think things will start to look up. BUT QB play, has to get better, and LSU needs to finish strong, in recruiting.

I agree completely. I can't understand LSU supporters, fans, watching this program unwind and still think, somehow, LSU's mediocrity will continue to supply momentum to keep it in a national top 10 listing. The long term quarterback/offense underperforming of this coaching staff is a lighting rod for concerns and questioning.

I agree with him. But that concern will be settled once we get a good DC hire.

. Getting a good dc will be great but frankly we have bigger problems. We desperately need a qb as the play at that position has sunk to an all time low imho. We may need a new OC.

Miles career has already been defined and the writing is on the wall. I'm afraid it was defined by 1/9/12. It's been on a steady decline since. He will not turn things around and he won't be fired. Just hope he doesn't pull a dale brown and completely destroy what he built before he decides to hang it up.

Oh by all means allow me to explain,

1. The passing game has not evolved in the slightest.

2. Anthony Jennings is the starter (and that's all that needs to be said)

I'm not saying there is no chance this is true. But, I'd take it with a grain of salt. Heading into National Signing Day in the not so distant future, I think it would be to the benefit of several teams to put out the notion that there is a lot of disarray at LSU whether there is or not. Negative recruiting can utilize a lot of outlets and when I hear these kinds of things I always ask myself "who's interest is being served by this type of information being thrown about?"

Did our DC jump ship or did we choose not to match ATM offer?

Huge difference
