How will Black "Outrage du Jour" Affect White Working Class attitutes & voting ?

The Democrat Party has lost vast support amongst white working class people. They have effectively been shut out in The South. White working class people abandoned them in states like Maryland and Illinois in the last election cycle.
A lot of these white working class people don't feel too privileged. Even more of them don't feel that they have ever wronged a black person in any way. Many barely have their heads above water. Yet they are being told every day that black criminality is a thing to be understood and tolerated, maybe even celebrated but that their racial attitudes and intentions are suspect by nature of their birth.
With that in mind, it seems like the emergence of this Race Grievance Outrage de Jour will be catastrophic for the Democrats. The Race Grievance Industry is really poisoning the well and people won't want to be associated with a party that presents Al Sharpton as a Race Teacher . They already have blacks and white liberals in their coalition. But surely they realize that they are going to create a backlash by going all in with Sharpton and that mindset. Are they just writing the white working class off? Is this just their way of announcing it?

Democrats will not be winning many elections if they keep pissing off white voters. The Hispanics and Blacks are not a big enough electorate yet.

I have been telling folks for years that the biggest racists in America are blacks. Some of the biggest ones are in the pulpits waving their Bibles.
And the biggest racis of all is in the WH right now.
Not all blacks are and most blacks are good honest folks trying to live their lifes in peace.
It no longer serves the white community to vote Democratic.

They are effectively grinding down their base to blacks and academic hard left types/hipster idiots. I honestly do not see how working white class white folk will identify with them any longer. That's partly why they're delusional enough to think Elizabeth Warren is a realistic 2016 candidate.

As a socialist I agree that the democrats losing white working-class voters is a problem and it's refreshing to see a conservative agree.
The solution is to concentrate on economic issues but the Republic party does what it can to stir up racial animosity. It's the Republicans who benefit more from racial unrest since blacks are voting democratic regardless.
The solution with the democrats is to talk to white working class voters about economic issues and how government spending on education benefits them and greater regulation of wall street and corporations helps them.
The problem with the republic party is that they can't win on economics so they race bait. They benefit more from racial problems than democrats since they tend to gain misinformed white voters.

All we can hope is that it affects their attitudes enough to get serious about 3rd party voting, because neither of these cartels will be getting my vote in the future, with possible exceptions.

The racial divisions you see in the south will spread to the rest of the country as unions become less powerful and racial tensions escalate. The Democratic Party has shut out a massive amount of white voters.

The south mostly just votes along racial lines. Whites see the GOP as their party and blacks see the Dems as theirs. That is just sorta how most of the voting south is.
Not so much for the rest of the country. Dems will keep winning general elections unless the GOP does a 180 on their economic policies.

The white working class has no place in the new democratic makeup. Minorities, media, millenials, and elites (economic and pseudo intellectuals).

I am blanking on the name but a high profile Dem recently made some waves by arguing essentially the same point. Was it Chuck Schumer?
The Democrats have played effective identity politics and have certain constituencies wrapped up, but they went big on health care - an issue that only helped some still-to-be-determinted minority of people - and did little to get the general economy moving. Plus, the importance of social issues seems to be fading. Advantage to the GOP with middle and lower-middle class whites.
But ... what if the economy continues to improve and is doing well come 2016? I doubt that GOP will then be able to make much hay on the economy, putting other issues at the forefront.

I think voting will begin to fall more and more along racial lines counteracting the demographic shifts the democrats are praying will give them a monopoly on the White House. The hispanic vote may soon be the only one up for grabs.

I think the evaporating clout of union labor in the Midwestern states is going to create an opening for the trend you see in the south spreading to part of the rest of the country.
If I didn't know any better, I'd say that the Democratic party is intentionally shutting out middle and working class white voters with the kind of rhetoric being carelessly thrown around.
The GOP needs to reach out to black voters, and Democrats need to stop their bleeding among white voters. The democrats are going to depend on messages of fear and hatred to keep their black supporters in line, and republicans will continue hollow promises involving social issues to reinforce their support among rural whites. Both of those strategies turn off moderate independents.
