You'd get exactly zero chances to use that line on me. The equivalent is "count". Kind of a nuclear hand grenade to a normal, healthy relationship.

Why are you so insecure?

It has nothing to do with being insecure. It's blatantly disrespectful.

Life is too short to voluntarily hang around with disrespectful folks.

But typing the word 'count' to a woman on here is not disrespectful?

You sound like maybe you don't need to scare too many girls off with your tough talk.

My buddy pounds white cans pretty much all day, and his GF (who is the wildest girl I know, FWIW) does not drink at all.

She's one of those who will drive across town to bring you food when hungover, it's awesome.

Review what I wrote. I used a device called an "analogy". (Look the word up) I don't actually call women "counts". That would be disrespectful to them.

If I actually loved the girl and she did not want to drink I would not let it be a deal breaker. If she wanted me to stop? More touchy.

I love a good beer so much. "Don't drink like an a-hole!" I get that argument. But turning her nose up if I get a beer with dinner, then it's like she's trying to change me. That never works. Can't change a person, but you can make them a better person. There is a difference.

People that don't drink at all without good reason are fricking weird.

Former/recovering alcoholic. Wife drinks. I don't mind. Just cuz I can't handle it doesn't mean no one else shouldn't be able to have a good time.

My wife quit drinking for a while. It was the worst 9 months of my life, but at least my son isn't retarded.

I quit totally about 13 years ago--don't miss it.
Wife has a couple cocktails when we go to dinner on the weekends.

My husband has a couple of beers after work a few nights a week.

I have drink maybe six times a year - only when we go to Tuscaloosa and I can get a Yellowhammer at Galettes. That's the only drink I like the taste of. I can't remember the last time I got drunk.

I don't enjoy the taste of most alcohol and I hate, hate, hate being hungover. Once I turned 30, a hangover lasts like four days for me. I'm ruined.

Hence, I don't drink. I don't really miss it.

It's kind of fun to be sober and watch drunk arse grown people make complete fools of themselves.

Plus, I like being the DD. Makes me feel better to know we don't have to worry about that when we do go out.
