Chocolate milk as a post-workout option?

One of my girlfriend's friends is in PT school and she came over and saw my whey protein and told me that it was horrible for me and I'd get the same, if not better, benefits if I drank chocolate milk after working out. What are yall's thoughts? If you can find any legit articles to cite then please link them. I don't think she's lying, and I can find a little bit of support for it on google searches, but find it odd that its not more mainstream if it were true. Unless it would put all of these protein manufacturers out of business. Certainly wouldn't mind since it would save me money . Regardless, I think I'm going to go this month taking my same whey protein and then switch over to chocolate milk during January and compare the results.
FWIW, I currently take ProSupps TC-F Isolate 100% whey as a post-workout.

It's not a bad choice.
You need a little more protein than what you will get from it unless you chug 24 ozs.

You need carbs for an insulin spike post workout. 4:1 ration carbs to protein is best for a larger spike. Choc milk is 4:1.
Whey Isolate should be used at another time or used in conjunction with quick digesting carbs post workout.

The point is that people believe they need a shite load more protein than they actually do. There was a football player that drank chocolate milk after his workouts and dude was huge (maybe Hershal walker).
Plus, breaking down proteins into individual amino acids burns calories as opposed to the whey which is pretty much already processed.

It's supposed to be really good. It was sold at swim practice and at swim meets when my granddaughter was competing.

I'm watching Elf with a tall glass of choc milk. That and some delicious butter soaked toasted bunny bread.

I know I have read about it before. I believe it's true. I don't like chocolate milk and I use Jay Robb whey protein.
