I just hope the decisions are made sooner than later. Saban announced Christmas day when he left, correct? When was Miles hired? I forgot how long it took.

nah, it resembles the 2009 class. That class won the sec and went to the title game.

Bullshite...Look at the margin of victory in those games. LSU had BAMA beat in 2 of those. I said "matches up". Sometimes the ball doesn't bounce your way.

I guess you're fine with me saying that, while you match up with some of the smarter posters here; you're gonna get cut up on this gem of a post.

Again, I am not saying that you are complete fool because you match up really well......but I'm afraid the results are evident, here.

Jan 2nd. had one month to recruit. Saban left and LSU only had 8 commitments, we ended up with 13. LSU does not recruit itself, contrary to popular belief. I think keeping Jimbo helped a lil with snagging guys like RP and Trindon Holiday after Les was hired.

oh he isnt?

Why it doesn't make sense: Miles is already 61 years old. Maybe he would come to Ann Arbor to work towards fixing things and ride off into the sunset, but he's built a great thing at LSU. The Tigers are fielding their youngest overall team of his tenure this season, and the future remains bright there for them to make another national championship run in the next couple seasons. He may view Michigan as a rebuilding project in comparison and not want to get involved.

Although he likes LSU, Miles has been so under appreciated here.

CLM went from being a 5-7 coach at Oklahoma State to going 11-2, 11-2, 12-2, & 8-5 all with a team that was handed to him. So basically his best 4 year stretch was handed to him. If he leaves I feel that we can have the same success. I've never understood the CLM hype

Dude went 12-0 regular season in the toughest conference in Football playing a brutal OOC schedule as well and all he's remembered for is the loss against BAMA in the do-over.

That's life.

Is there a chance that if Miles goes to Michigan that Jennings would transfer there as well?

Plus with Wilson not taking the Troy job, i have a feeling Miles knew this was coming and knows he isnt leaving. He wouldnt frick over Frank like that.

Frank was never offered the Troy job so its not like he turned it down to stay at LSU.

1-9-12 really messed up his legacy at LSU. I personally don't think he can ever recover from that night.

Wasn't right around the time of the bowl game on Jan. 1? So what, one week to get the new hire?

Sure he can. Do you realize how short of memories people around here have? Win the national championship next year (not saying it will happen) and the narrative flips from "LSU's idiot coach who is sinking the program" back to the "greatest coach in LSU history, and the only one with TWO national championships."
