Its not a crime to release a public record.

It is a crime to harass someone by sending threats by mail.

You guys don't even comprehend the difference do you?

why? Wilson's address was already public knowledge. Very early on in fact.

In this instance, it's a legal but highly immoral act done to harass people indirectly.

Anothet legal but immoral act is that I could buy water rights in foreign countries and jack up the prices, impoverishing and possibly killing people by monopolizing a good with inelastic demand, and lobby for protectionism for my food crop, knowing full well it will end up killing people around the world. That's all legal.

Or if I wanted to be a giant TPOS, I could drive the bare minimum speed limit in the left lane on the interstate. That's perfectly legal.

sending threats by mail or in person at a persons home is a direct threat idiot. There no other harassment going on here because the claim that nyt reporters published Wilson's home address is not actually true.

I've got a better idea. How about you make false accusations against nyt reporters knowing that legions of right wing morons will harass them for you?

They tried to post where he lived and they failed as he recently moved out of that Crestwood residence. the fact they tried is still an issue. They still published the picture of the marriage license which is inappropriate at best.

Moron, I was speaking to your implied claim that if something is legal like posting someone's address for any reason whatsoever, its morally ok to do.

Besides, the validity of the NYT reporters posting Wilson's address story is between you and the OP. I'm not the one making the claim or even supporting it.

at you thinking people being outraged over a perceived privacy violation is something only right wingers get upset over.

Sometimes the internet does good.

I hope she is terrified.

It has. Campbell has been getting death threats from white supremacists and other forms of harassment. Considering he is on the road a lot and has a family at home, yes he is um, concerned. He's actually a pretty good guy and reporter. Very smart and a moderate. Wouldn't call him a liberal.

Yes nitwit, it did. Snopes is FOS on this.
In fact I used the NYT article to find Wilson's home, and I posted a picture of it here along with sqft'age and purchase price.

Inclusion of that information in a NYT write up was inexcusable. Hopefully each of the newspaper jackasses involved will thoroughly enjoy their newfound "fame".

He probably means do whatever it is that the publishers of the policeman's address wanted the protesters to do to him. Turnabout is fair play, after all.

Yep. I'm fine with this. I don't want the publishers harmed but, if they can be made miserable for their own unethical bull shite, then so be it.

They were HOPING that what they did would lead to Wilson being harassed. Did they think that only worked in one direction?

They should be treated with the same appropriateness their target, Officer Wilson, would be by those to whom they provided his address.

It means exactly what I said. Do whatever they'd like to, I can't control people's actions.

Now if I came across him, he'd most likely get an arse whoopin.
