You do realize that will be painful if you are misdiagnosed as being dead?
I know a guy that had that happen to him in VN. He was already tagged and bagged.

They really are a waste of money and land.
But are they more of a waste of money and land than golf courses?
My answer to that is no. Golf courses are a huge waste of real estate that should be used for shooting ranges.

Scruffy also thinks it would be cool to have a Viking burial. Put him on a boat and then light it on fire with fire arrows. Would be legit.
That's how I'm going out, but with a surprise twist: underneath me will be tons of fireworks that will go off as soon as my body is completely on fire.

It's all the crosses on the side of the road that are what puzzle me.

"Golf courses and cemeteries are the biggest waste of prime real estate."

Yeah, I don't get it either. I know exactly where my youngest sister died in an auto accident.
I have no desire to mark the spot with anything.

Because the only thing that scares people more than death is the realization that, ultimately, very few of us will ever be remembered for more than a generation or two after we die.
The idea of there being no evidence that we ever existed is too much for out conscious minds, so we do silly things to make us feel better.

I'm getting cremated. Remaining loyal to the concept that nothing is free, I will bequeath all assets under the condition that tiny portions of my ashes be taken and spread about my favorite locales.

Barbecued fish food being splattered all to hell.
A true environmentalist.

I'll be cremated, ashes put in huge Roman candles and shot off for the 4th of July at the Prop Stop.

I want a Tully funeral too; then take the ashes and have my kids sprinkle them around the world.

Unfortunately, no. My visits to military cemeteries are primarily to Civil War sites: Shiloh, Gettysburg, Antietam, Fredericksburg ,,, and Arlington.
I have always been fascinated by old cemeteries, a result of my morbid personality and New Orleans upbringing.

Won't your ashes instead wash down stream?
