Do you have a problem w/ a bank having a no gun policy?

Saw a car with a decal saying don't bank with whitney/hancock bc of the no gun zone policy.
Personally i think its pretty reasonable to want to avoid the whole people coming in with weapons policy.

I thought that applied to all banks, bars and federal buildings.

Yes. What does that no gun policy prevent, besides me protecting myself when I happen to be in there during a robbery?

I'd be for gun fee zones in many places if they worked.

Nope, I don't mind if they have a no ski mask policy either.

Ever seen a bank robber read the sign at the door, turn around & take his gun back out to the car? Yeah, me neither.

I worked in banking for a while, and the fact is most robberies occur without incident. I'm sure banks want to keep it that way.
If you allow people to carry guns inside a bank, and if a robbery goes down, the robbers will be more than likely to take a hostage with them to ensure escape, AND statistics show that once you leave a bank as a hostage, you're probably not going to live.

I'm cool with that.

What do statistics say about the number of bank robbery attempts deterred from targets that possibly have citizens CC'ing? Also, it's pretty much playing Russian Roulette for a perp if he picks the wrong SOB as a hostage isnt it?

I see what you're getting at, but the fact of the matter is very few bank robberies end in death. Why do something that could possibly change that for the worse? A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush, imo.

I don't really have a problem with any place of business having a no gun policy. Private business, do what they want.

If you would go to the bank this afternoon and while standing in line an a-hole walks in and blows the teller away, robs what little cash they have, then puts the gun to your head and forces you to walk out with him, would you want a gun on you then?
