is what youre saying because that applies to any location, not just banks. You are essentially disagreeing with the root of CC if you believe this.

no. carrying in a bank has the potential to add fuel to a fire. most bank robberies are non violent. a customer drawing their concealed weapon during a bank robbery will turn that non violent robbery into an epic disaster.

Jesus, if it is a NON-VIOLENT situation then a person that is CC will have no reason to draw his weapon now will he? Why are you guys acting as if the responsibility and judgement that goes along with CC will be thrown out the door and someone will go John Wayne because it's a bank situation. If it is a non violent robbery at a convenience store, would you as a responsible CC citizen feel the need to intervene? No, you wouldnt, unless your life or your family's life was in immediate danger. Why is a bank any different?

You are ignoring what bapple, dnm3305 and myself have stated is that we don't want to carry in a bank to play cops and robbers and stop the robbery. Carrying a gun is incase the robbers decide to turn the firearm on myself. I understand that apparently most in here are extremely in tune with the robber mind-set and know that they aren't there to hurt anyone. All I know is they are criminals, and criminals do illegal things.

I think people that CC just realize that this world we live in has crazy people in it, and the likely hood of having to use a gun in self-defense is small. However, if the situation ever presents itself you are prepared. If you don't agree with that that's fine. you will never know who is CC'ing around you until the S%$t has hit the fan. Drawing your weapon is the last course of action (meaning at that point you fear that someone is about to take your life).

Many banks stopped providing armed security SOLELY because they statistically showed to only escalate situations rather than resolve/deter them.

if it's statistically safer not to have an armed guard, than it's probably safer not to have armed customers as well.

I don't think some of these goobers are card carrying cc'rs, or, they didn't pay attention in class, or, their instructor did a shitty job, or, they're just eat up with the dumas?

because they don't understand responsibility and judgment that goes along with CC. Hence they don't CC.

but that doesn't mean that there isn't someone else carrying who IS willing to play hero with the robbers. that's what the bank wants to avoid. it's simply a matter of risk assessment, and banks have done their homework and feel its safer not having anyone(either armed guard or customer) challenging a robber.

I just think that yall are giving too much credit just because some people tok a cc class. Im not convinced that it realistically prepares people for real life situations

We can't account for everyone. Just like we can't account for a robber who decides to become a murderer. While it may be a low percentage of risk, it doesn't mean it isn't a real possibility.

And the thing is the only sign I'm aware of on the branch doors that restricts anything refers to hats, hoods, and sunglasses. The person with the decal probably wasn't even cc'ing, if they were I doubt anyone would have noticed.

I don't mind people carrying. I think it's silly that people carry everywhere.

It must be convenient to be able to predict when trouble will come knocking.
