He hasn't played because he is not ready. The coaching staff tried to play him at Auburn and he couldn't get the plays right in the Huddle and simply didn't perform well at all. The coaches see Harris at practice and know how he is progressing but the young man is a TRUE FRESHMAN and you can ruin a player by putting him in when he isn't ready and doesn't have the confidence of the other players.

Even Harris has stated that he hasn't prepared the way he needs to in order to play yet somehow some of of you seem to think there is some sort of conspiracy against Brandon Harris. Sometimes the truth is the truth whether you agree or not.

Link?

You're talking out of your arse just as much as the people who want him to play.

This is like an OT 3 begging you to frick her and you refuse because you're already fricking Roseanne Barr and the OT 3 isn't hot.

You do not know this with any amount of certainty.

Then this is on the frickin coaches. The boy has been there long enough that he should be able to run some basic packages.

However, Dumazzery is contagious, so hanging around our coaches for too long would kill brain cells.....thus explaining why he doesn't know what hes doing.

Problem is, Jennings, with all of his prep and know-how, can't get it done and isn't improving. I know it was NMSU, but whatever we did with Harris there was working, and if you have to over simplify the playbook to make it work for him, you do it, because what's going on right now is abysmal and needs to change.

And I'm sorry, a true freshman's first start doesn't need to be a road conference game at Auburn. That whole situation was handled poorly. A conspiracy theorist might say that Les intentionally put Harris in that impossible situation to convince the fans that he was making the right decision going with Jennings.

I'm not one of them.

so that's it? he gets one shot at starting on the road at auburn?

jennings can't lead the team to a single point against auburn & arkansas while fumbling the ball last saturday and harris can't get another shot?

bullshite. complete bullshite.

LSU must really have a complicated system - freshman quarterbacks are starting all the time with other colleges. I look for Harris to transfer - Jennings will play until he finishes his senior year - so why should he stay to play only one year. He can go elsewhere and leave when he's a junior for the NFL.

What Salmon said.

Why do some of you continue to make excuses for bad coaching?

We heard all preseason that this would be a qb rotation and that is just not true.

So the best way to get him ready is to bench him the rest of the year? That makes a lot of sense.

There is no excuse for not getting him more meaningful snaps. We don't know if Harris will improve. We know Jennings hasn't improved.

We're fricked next year if neither improves.

Outside of the Auburn game...where it was a fricking wolves den in which neither of our QB's would have succeded, Harris has been productive.

Don't give me "he doesn't know the playbook" bullshite...He has been here since January, and he damn sure knew the playbook while bringing us back vs Miss St and destroying NM St.

If he truly didn't know the playbook and the staff named him starter anyway, then that what does that tell you about our staff??

The staff has put the spin of Harris "not knowing the playbook" and now it's "isn't a team player, doesn't put in the time" yadda yadda.

It's deflection from what the real issue is here, same as politics.

If this is the case, then the coaching is worse than I thought.

you can also ruin a player by leaving him out there for a pack of wolves to feed on, that's what happened to Jennings on Saturday, no?

This crap about people saying he is not ready is laughable that people believe that is why he is not playing. He was less ready early in the season and has looked great at times coming off the bench. Yes he sucked it up against AU but Jennings would not have faired any better. I am not saying he should start but he should have been seeing some meaningful time since the AU game. And definitely against Arkansas. In my view there is no reason he should not have. If th stick is true that he is not ready then he should not have seen anytime in any of the games. But he has which tells me he is at least somewhat ready for the coaches to give him sometime early in the season. Why he is riding the pine now we will never know and is extremely frustrating considering the abysmal QB play that has been in the field b

He will never be ready unless he is allowed to experience playing in real games at the college level. This is the ideal time for him to get game time. What do we have to lose?

If Brandon Harris is not good enough to replace the worst QB in the NCAA then they should not have recruited him.
