It really boils down to exclusives. He should do his research on them and see which he likes best. But for me I'd rather play with friends than random people. But you can't think objectively.

This. Anyone who tells you which has better exclusives is doing you a disservice too. Look and see what those games are because they may not interest you. PS4 has a big year planned for 2015 but none of those interest me so it's irrelevant.

Last of Us Remastered makes it worth buying a PS4 even if you played it on PS3.

Bro...I bought an Xbox One for this?!?!
But seriously. I am having so much fun playing through the whole campaign at the moment. I can wait for multiplayer. I'm not saying that 343 studios didn't frick this whole thing up, but I'll give them some time.
At the same time...I'm not sure if it is the fact that I am switching between Halo and AC Unity, but the Xbox is really slow at multitasking.

There is a way to improve it by changing your DNS settings. I don't know the exact numbers to change it to, but I think you can find it pretty easily.
The new update to snap has improved a lot of things. The friends list was a pain to access originally.

How does DNS affect the offline multitasking?
I'm just not sure if it is due to me trying to play the two worst launched games of next gen at the same time and it trying to cache all the data to allow me switch back and forth or what. But yeah the snap function is still quite stuttery. Also trying to navigate through the store is painful. Very slow and everything has to reload all the time.
