How does Bama recruit and keep their offensive line at such a high

performance level year after year? Is their OL coach that good? If so, he's not getting paid enough! Other than QB position, I think that has been the main difference between us and them since Saban's been there. Their QB is almost never sacked.

They poach left tackles out of West Monroe.

Their OL is not that good this year.

This is Bama worst Offensive line of the Saban era. They are decent in pass pro, but get no push in the interior. This is really Sabans best coaching job. He has a piss poor offensive line and a RB playing QB.

I don't know if you follow recruiting, apparently not, but Alabama pretty much get their pick of who they want these days. Everyone else scrambles for the left overs.

Alabama never seem to have a rebuilding year. They just reload. I can understand losing so many of our last year's Juniors to the NFL but I don't understand what happened to so many of this year's Juniors and Sophomores who should be starting instead of Freshmen. Why didn't they progress to a point where we can reload with some experience.

Because their coaches are competent enough to allow their players to play on the national stage time and time again, so this attracts the highest talent that wants to showcase their skills and have their abilities refined by these coaches so they can progress to the NFL.
Simple, really.

It's called coaching 'em up. But being an LSU fan with Bozo Fudd as its head coach, I can understand your confusion.
Coaching 'em up is not something he does.

They have 3 rings to show it and has a staff that wants to win every game and not play to lose .. What a stupid question .. LSU hasn't developed a QB since Flynn.. Mett was a free agent .. so maybe half credit there ..there is your difference

They're not running the ball on any good teams.
Their line is their weakest unit. They passed for all of their significant yardage this year, outside of Sims scrambling.
Your credit is misplaced. It belongs to Sims.
The sad thing is that this Bama team was the most beatable one we've seen since 2010, and we choked it away again after outplaying them at home again.

...and yet Bama is in position to win another SEC title and potentially another NC. Did you say QB play and passing? What's that? Oh yeah, Bama finding a way to get it done on offense, passing the ball, with an inexperienced QB.
Imagine that!

Seriously.
After it's all said and done, Saban will probably go down as the greatest college football coach of all time.
Who was better?

quote:Not sure if it matters if I post in here - But our Oline hasn't done very well with Mario Christobol coaching. I hear he is a great recruiter but honestly how many great recruiters does Saban need these days? I loved Joe Pendry and his Oline's way more than Christobol. IMO our oline has not been good the last two years.
