Arkansas fans kind of suck.
Obviously, there are some nice ones. But they are kind of redneck-ish, and very delusional.
They talk a lot of shite, too.
I do not like their university, their fans, or their state.
Fayetteville is really pretty, though.

It's beautiful up there. Much better than the rest of the state.

If you can't find the stadium, roll down the windows and follow the banjo music.

Fayetteville/NWA is nice but I find their campus to be average. Check out Old Main and their front lawn.
Dickson Street is adjacent to campus where you'll find some good restaurants & bars. Tailgating basically sucks. "The Pit" is a parking lot north of DRS that is okay, that's where I'll be. They have parking lots lining Razorback Rd where people tailgate but don't expect anything like LSU/UGA/Bama/etc.
Overall, it's a solid trip if you haven't made it.

Making my first trip to Fayetteville as well.
Should be a good game.

I have been to many out of town games. The rudest, most classless and most obnoxious fans I have ever encountered were the Arkansas fans in Little Rock the year J. Jefferson was our QB and they beat us to go to the Sugar Bowl. Not isolated instances but dozens of people before and after the game being vulgar and belligerent even to young girls. And I have a high tolerance for that kind of stuff. I have never been to Fayetteville.

Have fun tailgating in the 60% chance of wintry mix.

I'm biased but I'll share my thoughts.
The fans and atmosphere in Fayetteville aren't the same as in Little Rock. Fayetteville is far more alum and students, and it is way more reserved and not as redneck or rowdy.
We have a decent tailgating culture in Fayetteville, but its average. The main obstacle is topography, and you'll get it once you've visited. The only flat areas of campus are south of the stadium where some large parking lots are located, south of Bud Walton Arena. A lot of the tailgating takes places just off campus, but its in neighborhoods and hillsides that you won't even notice unless you're familiar with the area. The area west of the stadium is a big tailgating area, but its sort of like tailgating at Machu Picchu, with terraced areas all up into the trees. There are a few tailgating areas where you can see "down" into the stadium.
The Dickson Street area is as strong as any college bar/entertainment area anywhere. I don't understand why it doesn't get more love from outsiders.
In the past, the game was a holiday weekend, so tailgating was minimal. Unfortunately the extreme cold will keep it tempered this weekend, too.

Great college town. Bars and restaurants in great area. We stayed in a house walking distance to the stadium. The stadium was small but nice. This part of the country is really pretty if it snows will be awesome The Ark fans were very nice. Fayetteville is hard to get to but well worth the trip. I've been to every SEC school except Missouri, I would definitely return to a Fayetteville. Wish I was going! Enjoy, but dress warm. It was really cold (at least to me) 2 years ago when we went over Thanksgiving.

Fayetteville is a very nice college town

The 2002 last second loss in LR was the only time in my life I felt threaten after a college football game. It was a horrible and unnecessary bad experience. I have no interest in ever returning to the state of Arkansas, too many other safe options to visit.

It's better than Little Rock.
That's not saying much.
LSU 35
ARK 10

Beautiful area, pretty campus, excellent stadium, and plenty of bars and restaurants within walking distance of the campus. The most underrated game day experience in the SEC.

You will be pleasantly suprised with Fayetteville. Especially if you've been to the dump called Little Rock in the past. Great facilities in fayetteville, thanks to Bud Walton, and very nice scenery on the way. Fans arent as trashy as in Little Rock either.

I've been twice. Once for an LSU game, two years ago. We had a good time. Like many have said already, don't expect the big game tailgating atmosphere. The reason for this is location. Fayetteville is somewhat isolated from the rest of the state which is why they play a couple games in Little Rock each year. Older hog fans complain about the drive through the mountains to get up to Fayettville. Two years ago it was even worse because many of their students were gone for the Thanksgiving holiday.
You have to eat a steak at Does Eat Place. Easy walk from the stadium. We walked there after the game and got in no problem, but there was a very long line waiting to get in when we left.
I found their fans to be pretty decent. Many came up to me at Does after we beat them two years ago and were cool about, gave us props. I thought they came across as humble and hospitable.
